SX and the XXX

Recommended Posts

Ok the xxx is loud and SQ right

and the SX is the so ccalled budget spl sub, the SX is louder than the xxx then what is the point of buying the xxx when the SX is cheaper???

just thought i'd ask

what is the Root mean square of the SX anyway..

I believe the SX is not really directed at SQ but has decent SQ, but the XXX is an SQ sub that can get loud, and its not really meant to be used for competition even though it can take it

more BL---more xmax---more thermal wattage----oh yeah---and XBL^2---I will never own another sub without it.---high BL is good but flat BL is ALOT better.

XXX is currently the only RE driver with Xbl^2 motor, save for the XXX components due soon. SeXXX used the XXX coil, but on a stock SE motor/susp. IIRC.

The SX will most likely peak a tad higher than the XXX...but the XXX will dominate it in output over it's frequency bandwidth. If you plan on using it daily as well, I'd say the XXX. David only saw .8 dB gain from dropping the SX's in his wall over the XXX's, with about 2kw per driver.

They both can take a ton of power, I was burping my SX with 4 AB 1200's strapped at 1 ohm a coil and had no problems...

I'm on to bigger things, however.... :)

RE8- $49 (Single 2)

RE10- $59 (Single 2)

RE12- $69 (Single 2)

SE10- $149 (Dual 4)

SE12- $169 (Dual 4)

SE15- $199 (Dual 4)

SX10- $249 (Dual 2)

SX12- $259 (Dual 2)

SX15- $279 (Dual 2)

SX18- $329 (Dual 2)

XXX10- $359 (Dual 2)

XXX12- $369 (Dual 2)

XXX15- $399 (Dual 2)

XXX18- $439 (Dual 2)

MT10- $409 (Dual 2)

MT12- $419 (Dual 2)

MT15- $449 (Dual 2)

MT18- $489 (Dual 2)

There is a $25.00 charge to upgrade the XXX or MT line to a dual 1, dual 4, or quad 2 ohm.

I dont think the RE series are SVC 2 ohm any more though, everything else here is correct I think.
