mmats d300hc. gonna try to mod it to run at 1 ohm daily, might just try it to see if it will be stable.

honestly, i don't know. i know it's a couple tweaks and an added capacitor. from what i've read though depending on the dcr of the sub it will play down to 1 ohm.

bump, thought or opinions?

Refreshing to see a PCB that doesn't have any surface mount parts on it :)

I noticed you have the new Knu Karma interconnects...how are those? I was thinking about picking up some myself...

they're nice, very nice lol i have two sets of 4 channels (lol active front stage :) ) and the y connectos as well (2xs isn't installed yet) can't believe i only paid $25 for them.

Look how the resistors, caps and inductors are mounted. They could be hand built. Regularly you will see trace connections as sputtered on by a machine to cheapen the assembly costs, but of course along with that usually comes a sacrifice in quality. Looks like a nice amp, not so sure I would care to mod them if I were you just put them to use and enjoy!

i'm hoping i don't have to mod the d300hc, i might just recone the oz to a dual 1. i look back two years ago to what i was using to today and it's just such a drastic improvement

Those are surface mounted devices. They're a PITA to do any work on yourself...requires a magnifying glass, carefully controlled soldering temp and a lot of patience...
