Recommended Posts

Sorry for having to make a post, but Scott I've sent you several PM's over the last 2 weeks and e-mailed you a couple times and still have not gotten a reply... I don't know if you're just missing them or what, but I need some questions answered. :thanx:

Ok..

Take a 9 volt battery and 'pop' test the coils. Use the piece of speaker wire that is coming out to your amp from the sub and connect the - side to the - side of the battery, take the + side of the wire and 'pop' it on positive side of the battery.

If it moves out the coils are in phase and it is wired right and works, which would mean you have an amp issue...

If you get ahold of a DVOM the resistance should be .7 ohms per coil, or 1.4-1.5 ohms with the pair of coils in series.

Let me know.

Thanks!

-Nick
