Does it say they want 80W or that they're rated for 80W?

Nominal Impedance 4 Ohms

Recom. frequency range 2500-30000 Hz

Short term max. power 200 W

Long term max. power 80 W

Sensitivity (1W/1m) 91 dB

they do say max though

just because they're rated for 80w doesn't mean they need 80w to get ear-piercingly loud

Even with an 80w amp on them they will rarely draw more than a couple watts; however, I will add that headroom on a tweeter is extremely beneficial. Nonetheless 50w is more than adequate.

I have had 25w on mine and 250w. I did like one better than the other, but it really will depend on your budget and desires. One thing I can tell you for sure is that you will never regret having headroom.

note: unless of course you treat the gain inappropriately since it is there and wreak havoc on things
