5Hz - 10Hz vids

Recommended Posts

Hello all.

This is taken from my site. So the smileys might be different.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well I was supposed to be working on my car today.

I didn`t :(

Decided to wire up the Directed 1100d to the system an got carried away with the bass.

Woah!!!

Played SLAM & I nearly had a heart attack!!! :help:

The bass is absolutely mental :earmuffs: :earmuffs:

My missus ran out of the house to say the whole house was vibrating

So there`s me sat in the car listening to the tunes at a much lower volume setting now.

I did a few videos too.

Sorry about the quality - the video doesn`t do the system justice.

This video lasts for 3 minutes or so.

5 & 10Hz excursion

10Hz Excursion

This one for 30 Secs or so.

And get this... I`ve yet to turn it past Vol 21 :dizzy2: :earmuffs: :earmuffs:

The excursion goes even more that. I`ll have to take it somewhere, where I can`t upset anyone and do another video...

From what I`ve heard so far. I think the system will be hitting 150dB quite easily with even 3 or 4k yet alone 10k

Nice and sweet install...

Wish I could drop my subs that low :(

If you are using a ported enclosure then tune closer to the Fs of the sub.

It will lose Peak SPL

But the lower frequencies will be louder & over a wider range of frequencies.

;)

Don`t forget it`s only 250wrms per sub in these Vids.

The box is tuned to around 27Hz at the moment.

With the btm half of the port sealed off the system will tune around 22Hz (haven`t done this yet)

But it`s good to have the option there ;)

Will hopefully have some SPL figures this weekend.
