well i had some time to mess around with things today in the gf's car (05 grand am) and got to taking apart the doors. to my suprise the stocks are 4x6's and not the 6.5's i assumed they were . didnt really want to get to involved with it as i said, its the gf's car. think some decent 4" or 4x6's with amp would be good enough or should i bare down and custom the 6.5's? if you were in my sit. what would you do?

I surely wouldn't do 4's or 4x6's...

If that is your front stage mid/bass, personally I don't like anything less than 6.5 or in my case 5x7 at the moment. Unless it is a real hassle to install I would upsize.
