I'll be down to have sex with it tomorrow.

Almost bought one (red with a black top) when I was on vacation but quickly realized I have no use for it until I get rid of some of this other Chevy junk.

Unreal engine, but the rest of the car was questionable at best. The build quality and materials used were a little disappointing for a 2007 car and one that is supposed to be the pinnacle car for the biggest car company in the world.

Isn't that like most Vette's for the last 40 years?

Yeah, I guess. There were a few from time to time that were not too bad. Between friends and the current owner of this Z06, I have been in almost every model. Just still a little surprising for a car in the 70k mark.

You're right - you would have thought they would have kept the plastic/flimsy stuff in the 4th gen f-body rides.

They don't make a single car without the plastic flimsy stuff. My truck is pathetic.

There's plastic ion every car ever produced. GM however, seems to really love stuff. I swear, if they could make EVERY single part from plastic, they would. That would be a trip.

The Z06 is a stellar performer, and I really hate it when people compare it to a Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, etc. It's still ONLY a Vette no matter how you look at it.

I would have sex with that Z06... and does the grand sport has the DOHC motor like the ZR1? Love the ZR-1s heheheh. I thought the ZO6 was supposed to have pretty good handling and a completely different frame compared to the base corvette?

The 96 GS came with the LT4 which was optional that year on ALL production Vettes, although standard on the GS. All Vette's share a common frame.

everyone bitches about the plastic, but the car runs with or outperforms cars that cost twice as much. yep, you and your neighbor each own one, but that is the beauty of the car. not everyone can afford the ferrari that the z06 just smashed.

but i also agree, they should indeed take some time on the interior and clean it up some. 70k is alot to spend and one should be able to expect more for their money i suppose.

i'll still take the z06 over all the other supercars however, as i've got bowtie blood, lol.

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:

I've heard they're improving the materials of the interior for the '08 model year. Don't know how accurate that is though.

I am not really bitching about it. Just really surprised that since this is the flagship car of the biggest auto maker in the world, the quality would be much better. Believe me, I do not doubt the performance, in forward thrust this is one of the op three cars I have been in. I have not driven it on curvy roads yet to push the handling.

Maybe if they spent some of that monstrous, constantly in your face add budget on fit and finish and materials, things would be different.
