Solid state power is cheap...:D:P

You're going to need something more powerful than your Pioneer. There are a ton of amps in the 1kW range that would fit Mach5's recommendation.

How much do you have to spend?

im guess it will be about 4 Ohm and i have about 250 can to spend on a amp

im going to wait untill i find a used amp( i think that will be my best bet)

I think the speakers are the cheaper part of the system

only if you don't care how they sound, i've put way more $$ into my frontstage than my substage. But then again i think it's more benificial there as well.

my thought is if you dont have good power to run your speakers it wont sound good anyway

a lot of ppl dont know what good sound is.... most of the time the question is so dude what did you do in the db drag?

Im mr cheap. most of the time I buy my items used unless i can get some killer deals (like mach5)

hey i like good sound as well dont get me wrong i have some mb quarts and think they sound great

nothing wrong with buying used so long as you're still buying good equipment.

actually most of what i buy is used, just gotta be careful

RF has been benched closer to 300-330W/channel. Would be perfect for a MJ-18.

The shop carries that amp as well.

some companies have "birth sheets" that come with there amplifiers...it tells you how much power the amp realistically puts out at what voltage and load

Absolutely nothing is wrong with class A/B

Some people just don't like it cuz it draws like 20% more current

In my experience amplifier efficiency and better-sounding results tend to go in opposite directions :P

I kind of want to snatch up a few just for personal collection.

Did anyone grab one of those punch150's? That's an awesome price if those numbers are accurate. I wonder if my RL-i8 D4 can handle it.

The Punch 25 to Life series have a little nicer internals and are very very under ratted.
