I have a memphis 16-MC2000D The guy i got if from said it was moded?

How do i find out it this is actually true?

He said that it has the ability to be wired at one ohm, that it will not go into protect.

Does this put extra strain on the amp?

does it shortent he amps life?

Has the potential to generate more heat, which could damage things if the board isn't sufficiently cooled...
