holy grammatical...

What ohm load are you running the 3000D's at? What car is it? How big is the alt?

well my 300 amp alt went out im in the proccess of getting a 200 to 300 amp alt again. I will be running the amps at 1 ohm a piece. i have done the big 3 upgrade and have 2 yellows top in the car right now. its now working on 125 amp alt which its staying around 14.6 volts and a drop of 13.4 when turned up. But i know i need a third battery until i can get some more kinentics. But i dont think a 125 amp alt will last long on 3 yellow tops with 2 sundown 3000ds

Keep the volume low and you will be fine until you get the electrical system going again.

hey jacob will 2 yellow tops on a 200 amp alt on the 3000ds do pretty good? casue i cant get any kinentik for about 4 weeks unless i want to pay retail

I wouldn't say "good" as each amp is capable of over 400 amps of current draw depending on how they are wired and how high you have the volume knob set. You can certainly listen to music daily on two yellow tops and a 300 amp alternator, no problem, but don't expect full output from them for more than burps :) Just keep an eye on your voltage and you'll be okay.

well i can get a 300 amp alt and do the 2 yellow tops temp for now until i can get the 4 kinentiks again kinda wish i didnt sell them but 350 a piece i couldnt pass i jsut hope the 125 amp alt will last until the new one get here. how low can the voltage go before the amps are in danger? i know it should drop no more then 11.5 but i think thats pushing it

Indeed, if you start getting under 11.5 then you have a problem. I would say try to keep it around 12 to play it safe since you know you are upgrading the electrical in a few weeks anyhow.

( I hear that is how I killed my headunit and one of my mid-bass's) MY voltage was dropping down to 10.2 volts in about 3 seconds with two saz-1500d's.... but the amps and subs are fine so far. (no music till head-unit comes back, and should have a different battery for the next competition).
