DVC & wire question

Recommended Posts

Do I need two terminal cups for a DVC sub?

Thanks

Well, I might as well ask my other questions while I'm thinking about them. If I'm wiring a DVC in parallel, how do I connect the two terminals? Can I just twist the two wires together and run that end into one terminal, then the other end into the second terminal? And on that same subject, is it good/bad/ugly/no different to twist both ends of the speaker cable wires together, to make a bigger wire for each terminal? Hope that made sense.

You only need one terminal.

And your parallel wiring depends on what the sub impedance is and How many ch. your amp is. Go to this link. It tells you pretty much every configuration for all subs. Just find the one that matches your situation http://www.crutchfield.com/learningcenter/...ers_wiring.html Hope that helps. No need to twist wires together. If you not using around 12 or 10 guage wiring or even 14 for that matter then you dont need subs. :D

Have a nice one.
