Hello everyone, long time no see. I am selling a pair of Dual 2-ohm (technically D1.7) 12" Sundown X v.2's built by Dave Leib a.k.a "Strongman Designs." Reason I am selling them is because I realized upon testing to see if my digital multi-meter was working correctly that one of the coils is reading higher on the one sub indicating that too much heat had been applied to it recently so rather than risking any further damage to it I am going to assume that I have too much power for these. Having said this in all honesty, let me make it perfectly clear here that both subs are still in perfect working order as we speak, even the one that is reading differently. Had I not thrown my multi-meter on it to test it in order to see if it was working properly (the multi-meter itself) I would have never known there was any difference or discrepancy between the two. However, because one of them is reading off now and I do not know what is to be expected out of it's performance long-term I will be letting these go for $500+ shipping (that includes both). Any further questions or concerns please feel free to text me at 440-915-2309 Phil

I have just sold my car and I had to remove my subs and amps. not planning to install them again in my new truck. I have a sundown audio SAZ1500D & SAX100.4D. I also have two 12" SSD's with the upgraded coils. These are from an older install, but have not been beaten to death and are in great shape. i have no idea what these are worth figured it's a great first time setup for someone. I'm assuming around $500ish for all of it. Local pickup will be the easiest obviously Sarasota/Tampa/St. Pete/Bradenton/Venice. But Willing to ship if the price is right (I can get a quote). Willing to sell individually if you want. email me: [email protected]

Hi, Been out of the game for a bit after selling my system, 2x15" SSA Icons in 7.2cubes net 32hz on Crescendo BC2000D. Anyways Im picking up 2 12" SSA Xcons for a crazy price and want to put them in my 03 Dodge 3500. I only want to lose 1 seat so dimensions are a bit tight. 32" tall x21" wide by 25" deep. I think I can get around 5 cubic feet net, (may be able to gain an inch or two on depth) question is how much port area should I aim for? They will be ran on low power, JL JX1000 for now so only 500rms each. Probably wont be adding much more as I dont have the money for electrical or space. if I aim for 70+ and around 5 cubic feet would that be ok? Thanks, Codester

Alright, I'm sure you've read it before and probably been through it; someone bought a setup and loved it but is no longer enough for them. That is also me at the moment and that is what this is about. What I have: 2010 Chevy Malibu 2 12" fully loaded Fi Q 12s in a sealed enclosure approx. 3 c.f. (built for sealed because of lack of trunk space for ported box) no upgraded alternator (reason: not easily accessible and no one pimps these malibus, so they don't make those componenets and when they do, they're expensive) 2400 Kinetik battery in trunk bigger battery upfront (duralast platinum/gold whichever they said was better, lol) Hifonics Brutus BRZ-2400 0 gauge and big three, but no dimming or anything at the moment setup wired to 1 ohm What I want: to be significantly more powerful but still have great sound quality (on the highway) to still be able to get quality bass also at lower power levels (when crusing through the city) What can I do to get from where I am to where I want to be? 1. will more power to the Q12s make a significant difference? or would the difference in power be miniscule as the subs may be close to peak performance at 2400? 2. Would the BTLs be the way to go to get that BOOM? heard they need a boatload of power to actually make them much different from the Q line **just from what I have read, no personal experience** ANY/ALL advice is appreciated. know how to help me out? please do! Think I'm doing something horribly wrong? tell me! P.S. installed my first system 5 yeas ago and have done 4 since, not a bass expert but know more than the average Joe

I have 2 SSA zcons 12's D1 These subs are absolutely amazing. As stated in title 1 is working 1 is not, burn mark in spider appears to be tinsel $450 + shipping for both

I went with direct leads because the push terminals broke off & it was dangling! So I took both off. This XCon is the first generation, it is just under 5 years old. It was reconed before about 2 years ago, and just started using it. it was a bad recone job lucky I ordered 2 recone kits, Dustcap came lose first day out & it was flapping. spider came completely off later. I wanted the job done right, So I did it myself. I think I did it right. I'm proud to say I am no longer a Recone Virgin.

Dual 12'' Fi SSD's with standard copper coils and cooling
DedicatedEnthusiast posted a topic in For Sale/Wanted
Got two 12'' Fi SSD's for sale that are literally less than six months old. They sound absolutely amazing in fact my ears were ringing after having listened to them for ten to fifteen minutes straight or so just the other day. They come with stock copper coils (meant for daily musical play) and cooling option for an additional 2-500 watts or so of increased power handling (giving each speaker an average of 1200-1500 watts RMS power handling for a total combined amount of 2400-3000 watts power handling) depending upon the install. The price for the pair is $450 shipped to your door in all of Fi's original packaging. Shipping alone runs right around $80 for the pair even if new from Fi so the price per speaker outside of shipping cost is actually about $185. These things look and sound practically brand new. The ONLY reason I am selling them is because i ended up getting a much larger than anticipated alternator installed and would like to take advantage of its abilities with larger more powerful speakers soon. It may be sort of hard to see my SSA username at the top of my sales sheet in the pictures below due to the lighting when they were taken but if you tilt your computer screen back and away from you I find that it is much easier to see that way. Please feel free to PM me with any additional questions or concerns:) -
What would be louder in a 2000 explorer..2 15" mojos or 2 SA-12s
FadingCarton38 posted a topic in General Audio
I have the MOJOs right now ran by a Hifonics Brutus 2100.d. Now i know thats not enough for them but in general with a custom box and either same amp or a saz-1500, could i get a little louder with the sundown SA-12s since ill actually be putting enough power to them? Also this would be in a 2000 ford explorer, so if anyone has witnessed a similar setup with 2 sa-12s in a explorer it would be great if you give feedback. thanks -
(2) Fi Q's or (2) SSA XCON's off a Crescendo BC3500D at one oh
QuickQuestion posted a topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Wondering which would get lower and deeper (not necessarily louder) on a daily basis. I listen to strictly Decaf and chopped & screwed music in the high 20Hz range and low 30's- 10 replies

Hey guys, i had some concerns about my future system. I'm planning to get an FI SP4 18, AQ3500.1D, and a high output alternator 200@idle and 375 max in the very near future. I can't wait to get it, but now I've ran into another problem. My powerbass oem replacement components and coaxials just aren't going to cut it. I'm planning on running 3000rms to the sub. About how much power would i need in some new tweeters and components, etc., to even out the sound? I don't want to hear JUST bass, i would like some nice highs and mids to come close to match it. Any power, speaker, amp, etc., suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello all. I am new here as you can tell. I am almost done with my first actual build. I am waiting on the subs. I just ordered 3 DCON 12's and I will be putting them in a t-line box that I am building and I also designed. The rest of my system and electrical is already done

Hey guys, I just want to get some input on a burp box for 2 12" BL's fully loaded. This will be for a cross over and running 1000 or 2000 watts. Right now the system is up to 148.4 on 1800 watts with a some what music box. What I want to do is build the burp box so the subs are back and the port on the side. The info and input I need is the size of the box and the size of the port. Im 99% set on using a aeroport and was thinking 8" but would 8" be to small? Some people say the box needs to be big like 5 cubes and some say small like 3 cubes. So im a bit lost on where to start lol.

I'm in the process of completely changing the crx's build so I decided to start a new build log. The old one can be found here: http://www.soundsolu...1-honda-crx-si/ The last thing I did in the build was add the new second amp rack with the LEDs under both amps (which I have yet to get a decent photo of, Sefugi). From there I was just so used to everything and was starting to compete in some comps and with a local in town. First thing that needed to be done was a new front stage, again. Pre ordered the Sundown Audio Neo Pro 6.5" mids with some infinity tweets. Found a great deal on an Alpine 9887 and grabbed that up quick. Before: After: Before: After:

Hey all, I've got two 12" SSD's coming in the next few days and I decided to get a headstart on building my box. I've raped the search tool and can't seem to find what I'm looking for. If anyone has some spare time and wouldn't mind doing a fellow enthusiast a HUGE favor, it wouldn't go unnoticed. I'm hoping to get a cutsheet for 2 12" SSD's (ported) for my 2008 Mazda 6 sedan. Here's the preferred specifications. W: 42" (MAX) H: 16" (MAX) D1: 21" preferred D2: 16" preferred Tuned from 30-33hz I'm thinking it'd be cool to have the subs forward-firing at an angle with the seats. Then I could just mount my amp on the trunk side. The angle would take much more advantage of the space but if that's too difficult to calculate I'd understand and just make them rear-firing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I suck at math and don't trust online calculators :/

My friend just got a 01 golf gti and wants a straight SPL sub. I told him just run a 12 since he wants to keep some space. What is a good all out SPL sub for daily loudness? His budget is $500. He doesn't care about sound. Also power will be off a 2k either dc or crescendo.
