I have my box in my 05 camry sealed to the pass through sub and port firing forward into the cabin. Port is on driver side

I know its a noob question but: I have a single 12" Fi BL 12 in a 2.5 ft^3 box tuned to around 33 hz or so. Its dual 2 ohm wired to 1 ohm on a SAZ-1500D. I am wondering what 2 of the Skar 12s or 10s in the optimal box would be like in comparison. I know that based on cone area alone, it should be louder. My Fi is so much beefier though. My current box is sealed to the passthrough with port and sub firing into the cabin when the seats are down. Any new box would be the same configuration.

It seems my wife and you guys are on the same page; she told me to keep what I got. Haha. That was what I originally thought, just wanted to get an idea. I enjoy my BL and am gonna get it metered soon. Maybe another one and another amp later; wife permitting. Lol

Is the whole cone area thing always a hard and fast rule? Is 4 funky pups gonna have more output than 1 sa-8?
-
I have a 12 powered by an saz1500d. I love it; it sounds amazing and takes a lot of power.
-
Nothing, it is the best sub I have ever owned. I absolutely love it. In anything, more output would be my goal though.
-
I love my BL, just trying to get an idea of what can be done. Especially if the trade in program is still going on

I have a single bl 12 on an saz1500d, haven't check my voltage but it's getting at least 1200 to 1500 daily. Its rated at 1000 so it doesn't seem likely that a 200 watt jump would really kill it. As everyone else said, probably something else made it die

at 4 pm today my beautiful fiancée Savanah became my wife. I have a beautiful stepdaughter whom I love so much. p.s. to get this back towards car audio, I'm gonna be redoing the system in her car. Right now she has a broken factory cd player and 1 and a half working speakers out of four. I am probably not spending much. She wants a DVD player, so I'll probably do a Dual or Jensen. ( I know i should do something not so shitty, but it fit the price range and features she wants). I have a set of Pioneer 6x9's that will fit her back deck and will buy a cheap set of 4x6's for the doors. Won't be winning SQ comps but she'll definitely enjoy it better than the broken stuff she has now

Holy shit . Over 2 years later -
cheap but effective radio This is whats going in her car. I'll do a build log.

haha. thanks dude. If i could ever get the energy and time to pull off my rear deck, I'd have another set to get rid of. My rear fill has been disconnected since before i installed my new front stage; following the advice of everyone.

I get my original tint done in 2005 and they told me it was the darkest legal. I have seen plenty of legitimate shops go darker without using loopholes. What I have now does look better than the day I bought it, but I'm thinking it's gonna look a little better and keep peole from seeing my tv screen. So it's hard to get loud in a 5th gen Camry? That sucks because I really would like to see 140+. Its cheesy but I saw stickers that were in the style of the old "intel inside" logo that say 140+ db inside. I wanna feel like I earned one.lol
-
Pretty soon I'm getting my old tint pulled and blacking out the whole car with maybe 35 or 15 on the windshield and 5 everywhere else. I got a customer who does windsheld repair and tint and knows a doc who will right me a scrip for dark windows due to light sensitivity. I need to do HID's first
-
Wow. It looks like your question started a shit storm. Like everyone said, it's your install and power etc. that determine how loud, not just the sub. That being said, I'm a pretty big fan of my Fi bl 12. I payed $ 284 for it, brand new
-
that box is killer. Do you think you have the space for adding a second baffle and doing the sub flushmount? That would be the icing on the cake. just my $0.02. killer build so far and I can't wait to see the final result all wrapped up

Hey chop, sorry to hear about your mom. Your family is in my prayers, dude.

I live in baton rouge and wanna get metered. There is a shop in Denham Springs that charges $10 per run to get metered. Does anybody own a term lab or some other spl meter and wanna help me get some input on what my system can do? Thanks guys
-
yes he does. his name is drew and we are friends. He does not have one
-
guess not. I've never metered a car or even been with someone getting metered. I was curious about what I need to do; do I need my own test tones, etc? How long is a "run"? These sound like dumb questions but if I don't know I gotta ask, right?
