    hows this set up sound?

To be honest, I'd do the Big 3, then wire it up and see what happens. If you're having issues, get the battery. Still can't keep up, the alt. Better than spending that much money on unnecessary upgrades.

Best use of ~4cu and 1200 watts?

I hadn't even considered the XCON. I figured it would need way more power than I had to give it. I'm liking what I'm finding on YouTube though. But again holy hell that's pricey. Gonna be a while longer before I pick it up. Still gotta get my comps and HU, after all. LOL, thanks about the av. Got it from here:

Best use of ~4cu and 1200 watts?

Forgive me for being repetitive, but I'd be underpowering the XCON by a good 350 watts if not more (the JBL supposedly does nearly 1400 at 1ohm). That won't be a problem? That's why I was figuring the ICON, it's rated at 1000RMS so wiring the thing at 2ohms means I'd be doing about 200 over, and I figured that'd be the better option. If not, hey. XCON 12? Interesting. EDIT: Just looked up the box size. Holy hell these things work in small enclosures. I'm thinking 2.25cu tuned to 31Hz in that area? Think that'd outperform most of the 15s I was looking at or not?

    Keep up with the bass

Rear fill is, for most people, totally unnecessary. Get some beefy front comps, put a good amp on it, you'll hear it PLENTY over the rest. Remember that, sonically speaking, highs are easier to hear than lows. To give a strange example, in a barbershop quartet the bass has to sing the loudest and the tenor the softest because the higher tones will travel better while the bass notes need a lot more volume to be as audible. So even if that sub is crushingly loud, you're not going to need fifty speakers to keep up with it, a pair of mids and tweets will do it fine as long as they're strong enough and have the power they need.

Best use of ~4cu and 1200 watts?

My MAIN concerns are space and power. I'm not working with an SUV that has a big space in the back, and I'm not getting a second amp, but if there's a pair of subs that work in smaller enclosures for ~600RMS I could do that, but outside of maybe a pair of Lethal Injection 12s sealed or 10s ported I'm not sure what would be the best use of the amp and the space. For a pair of subs I might be willing to spend more money, but again it'd have to be for a good reason.

Really? Looks like I had it backwards. That price tag's starting to push it, but it looks like my initial goal of keeping things around $200 was foolish from the get-go, so we'll see.

Icon's on the list, but I don't think I have nearly enough power to throw at an XCON. That's really pushing my budget, but if it's a good enough sub I'll go for it.

No space for two IXL's, I don't think. It's a Fit, the hatch ain't that big, and now we'd be talking $460 for subs and I'm not sure I'd be comfortable droppin' THAT much on them. Something to think about though.

That's pretty outrageous dude. Can't wait to see some vids of it in action.

How did you guys find SSA???

Seems like half the time when I search for anything audio related I find SSA. Most recently it was to check if MobileSoundWorks was reliable.
