you should know im still student and cant afford the big boys like the xxx yet. this will come in several years ^^ i think i will get the 2 15 l7 in a 10 cft sealed box filled with polyphyl. this way im losing output at the higher freqs but it gains the low end which is what i want
-
can you tell me the difference between audiopulse and tc sounds? both have an lms ultra driver.
-
basicly high dbs at low frequencies (~30 hz-) and i was told 2 15 l7 would do the job very well in the given space (10 cft) and power (2 kw).
-
do you know where i can buy tc sound woofers? their inet site is shut down...
-
and the jbl wgti? i heard nothing but good things about it. once i heard 4 12 gtis and it was quite amazing how loud and low it was. this is the gti manual: http://www.jbl.com/resources/Brands/jbl/Products/ProductRelatedDocuments/en-US/BoxesandParameters/W15GTi_rev_f.pdf the bandpass design from jbl looks very interesting due to the low tuning. the curve shows a ~ 10 db gain over a sealed box on low freqs.

so is the l7 i was told. i have 2 kw rms and 10 cft of space.

orion says sealed enclosures are louder to ear than ported ones. my goals are good sq but with the ability to get loud too. so it thats true that sealed is perceived louder than ported i might go with it. whats your experience there?
-
nice! what is your tuning?
-
sealed or ported for my purpose?
-
i listen to music with low bass notes like rap or some times organ music ^^ for me its much more important to get kicked in the stomach than make the ears ring.
-
and what types of enclosure are good to feel the bass rather than hear it?
-
http://www.jbl.com/resources/Brands/jbl/Products/ProductRelatedDocuments/en-US/BoxesandParameters/W15GTi_rev_f.pdf according to this manual the low frequencies are 10 dbs over sealed.
-
and a bandpass with low tuning would be best then? (for the perceived loudness of low frequencies)
-
try the solo classics. they will do fine in small sealed enclosures and from what i heard they are louder than l7s sealed.
-
id like to run 2 18 havocs sealed off a bxi 2610 and i have ~ 12 cft of space for the box. the reason i want to go sealed is the more flat response and stronger low end production. does 12 cft work well or is it too much / less.
-
nice! what box size is this and what tuning?
-
im looking for loud bottom end bass, thats all. which sub is better for this?
-
budget: 800$ goal: deep and loud bass (hairtrickwise...); not much sq required; only for daily music; no comp box: ported; about 18 cft of space electrical system: 90 A alt, 2* 650 A agm batteries amp: bxi 2610 i figured out that cone area is most important for daily listening. so id take 4 12 over 2 15. maybe 4 12 type Rs.

i can switch the backseats so 2 18s would fit. but i did a little research and the havocs and xcons are out of choice now as they have a foam surround. id like a rubber surround because i think its more durable... just me. but that means im limited on 15s... the price on the re audio subs is much but its worth it (good quality of production) so: - 15 re audio mx - 15 re audio xxx - 15 l7 x2 - 15 jbl wgti x2 - 15 Type R x2 im in search of a system that can drop really low and loud doing it. low end is my only concern and im not interested in any other sq. in other words i want to move some serious air. i have read the re audio mt hits lower and louder while doing so than the xxx. that really confuses me as im dependend on those statements. i dont have the chance to hear these subs but the l7s which were loud but didnt have much low end output. but they were just 12s...
-
electrical: 90 A alt; two agm batteries 2* 650A budget: 800$ vehicle: opel astra (GM car) F i also took a look on the re audio mx or xxx.
-
id like to go either with 2 18s sealed or 1 18 ported and im looking for a setup that can hit really low. as im not in usa the xcon costs me about 250$ more than the havoc.
-
how many woofers were that and what size?
-
hi i have a bxi 2610d and now im looking for good woofer(s) and narrowed it down to xcon or l7. my goal is to hit the lows damn good and im not concerned in higher frequenzies. in other words i want to shacke my whole car, maybe hairtrick, window shacke, etc. either id get 2 15" l7 or 1 18" xcon. both setups would be in the max recommended ported enclosure. but personally ive never heard an xcon and dont have the chance to do it.
-
which sub will be loudest at 30 hz? off my 2610, proper enclosure for sure. btl, mayhem or xcon? (forgive me asking such "rubbish" but im not that experienced to judge these subs since i started car hifi 1,5 years ago with a 12 l7. and i dont have the chance to hear these different subs aswell...)
