I was thinking of using aero ports instead of a slot port. That's where I get stuck. Ia2 recomended 240 inchs of port at 32 hertz in 17 cubes so how do you figure out how many aero ports and how long?

It's under build logs so I all ready have a thread started. And yes I already have the drivers wood amps batts and car. Just needed a refresh on my math for now that's all.

4" x 3.14 = 12.5 sq. in. eachT 6" x 3.14 = 18.8 sq. in. each If I'm not mistaken that's what I cameup with

I'm just not a 100% on how to figure out how many aeros to use all the box calculators just have port diamiter,box volume, and tuning hz and it gives you the port length so how do you figure in if you have 2,3,4,5,6.... aeros? I already figured out a slot port. I was just wondering how many 4 inch aeros it would take to get 240 inches of port at 32 hz if I can't figure it out I'll just go with the slot port. I just know there are more benifits from a aero port. And then I asked if any one has used slot ports in a wall

Dumb ? You said 240 inchs. Is that the squar inchs of the port opening? This is my first box build with out aeros so I'm not really sure? Any help would be great. Yes, it's the port opening in square inches. I had mine in 20 cubes with 300" of port tuned to 32Hz and was pretty happy with it...What car is it going in and how much power will you have them on? Thanks! in a 98 Mitsubishi diamante with that much port was it pretty good for daily?

Thanks! That sounds good. It will be in a wall a sugestions on sub/ port placement. I'm going for a daily/spl set up.

Just got done with putting a tv in the steering wheel now I'm working on taking out the ps2 I had in the dash and putting in another tv in the passenger dash. Can neone tell me how to upload photos. Didn't see anywhere to do that

I just bought a new mtx ta7801 well I traded 2 R.F. P1's forit but anyway anyone no of any problems with these amps it sounds nice and clean the birth sheet says it puts out 1732w at 1 ohm. Just wanted your guys opinion onit I've never been a big fan of MTX so idk anything about them.

Well I just clamped the amp at 1 ohm and with the gain under 3/4's the way up. It's putting out a amazing 1632 watts I'm just like wow I can't beleve it and that's at 13.56 voltage. There's no clipping or nothing. I think I got a very good deal!!!

Sounds great at 37 pretty loud with just the two.

K I just got my subs and amp installed. Two 12 inch incriminator audio leathal injections and a mtx ta7801. I redid the dynomat on the deck lid and ran 0 gauge all the way back. The box has 4 4 inch areo ports and tunned to about 37 hertz and it's 5.5^'s. Well a friend of mine traded me for two Rockford fosgate p1's they cost like $49 each and I remeber when he bought it new it cost him like $599 and the best part is he never used it. He was just really wanting some subs and already had two of these amp so I traded just because I just didn't know if it was a good amp or not I've never used any if the new mtx products. All of the older ones I have used have blown pretty easy. I guess I'll just be nice to this one lol. It really don't sound bad nice and clean.

Hey iv been a auto tech for 10 years and from all my exp. The bolt on the back of the Alt. Feeds power to recharge the batt. The wires in the plug feed back to the copm. So it can tell the Alt how much to charge. Your block is your groundso I'd upgrade the block to frame, batt to frame/block

Thanks guys. Yea the tv in the dash is a lil small I had a 7.5 In screen to go in there but it stoped working, it's at the local repair shop now hopefully it's fixable.

I would probably say neither as it seems like both will need more space than your giving them. How much room do you have put an enclosure in? What kind of an enclosure, is this going to be a wall? It seems like your just trying to throw as many subwoofers in there as you can, which is not smart to do unless yuo have the right space for them. I have enough room to put in a 23^3 box it will ether have a slot port or aero's
