I have two ia 20.1's pushing two ia dp 21's currently I have one sub on one amp@1 ohm. But I'm only geting 1400w @ 14.3v. The impedance rise is is going up to 2.58ohm. I was thinking about rewiring them to 2 ohm and strapping them. Would that help get more power out of them? Or????? Thanks for any help

I had 4 kinetik 2400's on them so voltages wasn't the issue. Now I have 8 batts on the 4kws, there straped@2 ohms and we clamped them at 10597w!!!! On 14.8v putting it on the meter tommarrow, have to replace the windsheild ( rock chip < 2 Ia dp 21's)lol. And the sunroof broke : (

Just an update strapped them to .5 @14.4v clamped them at Still could only get 2800 out of them. Come to find out the RCA inputs on on came apart : ( O well I'm going with 2 Memphis 4kws. Triving to get over that 55 mark. Lol : )

I gusse Ill just have to try to make it LOUDER lol. So plan on a future build log. With 2 21 dp's and 4 20.1's in god knows what, maybe a camaro.

Does any one have any experiance runing them strapped at .5 ohm? At .5 the imp rise is 1.58. I'm trying not to blow them lol. I don't want to only get 2800w out of them either. If I can get closer to 4kw I'll be happy!

Hey guy I need a good beating song with a long bass line ( about 3 min) box is tuned to 32hz and my car peaks around 40-44 on burps. I need a song that will last 3 mins. I have a comp in the morning and there is a kaos class ( average spl score over the 3 mins) I haven't had any time to try any on a tl any one have any sugestons?

I say li's we be the better choice. You would be giving the there rms power and in the future if you wanted u could still give them more. I would vote LI's. Unless u wanted to go cheaper I'd go with 187's there entry level but can take a beating. Right now my buddy has 8 10's on to Memphis 4kws (soon to be 16 on a kicker warhorse). And they just smile and keep taking it. (and that's not burps it's music).

Here's a few more of my build. Just added two 10 inch LCD tvs in the trunk along with a playstation put them inbetween my 20.1's. There's also a few of my buddys blazer. 8 of 16 10 inch 187's tuned to 20hz. That thing get down and sounds great. Mobile Photobucket

Sorry the pics are so small. It's all off my iPhone lol. Well today I got the wood cut for the amp rack and the tv rack. Started fiberglassing the port( to flare it). You really should follow the directions on the can. About confined spaces lol. Last time I glassed something in the car I smelt it for a month.

I'd say that's pushing it. Maybe 1000-1500rms but not 2000rms. For burps yea I'd say they can handle it but irony think they can daily. The dp's can.

I think dp's are the best bang for your buck. Wardens are alil pricey. The dr's aren't a bad choice ether. Heck u can even save s buck and get some li's. They'll take one heck of a beating and sound great while doing it. I would definatly run a pair of. Dp's though I think that would be the best choice if you can afford them.
