i forsee a HUGE fight coming. Not with me involved, but between the korean and her roomies. that's why i'm here. they're discussing rent again because they aren't happy with the way it was going to be, they've already signed the lease.

Nice to have, but it isn't really all that often that I need one. Curious as to what you use yours for? I also agree that I don't like serrated knives either Matt, but there are many times that it is the right tool for the job and should be used. Things that are partially frozen are much better "sawed", hard vegetables like squash are easier and safer to cut with a serrated knife, delicate things as well for instance a really ripe tomato or piece of fresh bread. bah even with really ripe tomatoes, if my knife can't cut it then i figure i haven't sharpened it well enough. I just hate sawing through any damn thing but i guess partially frozen foods would benefit from it.

$300 can get you there. 150 chef 80 boning 30 pairing 30 serrated buy a bread knife later --if you are stuck on matched sets though this won't work i love that breakdown, though i'm not sure i'd even buy a serrated, to this day i still hate the damn things. The chef knife and boning knives are the two i really want though i really like the slicer in the C set as well. I have a decent knife similar to the slicer and use it more than probably all my other knives combined though I'm not sure if the slicer is too long or not. bah seems like i really need to go somewhere that will let me play with all their knifes. I'll never find that around here.

well the full set is like $500 but includes all kinds of knives i don't need and would never use. the set i was going to make was going to be just under $300 i'd like to stay at $300 or less but could go up a little more. This will of course be once i get a damn job, but this is one of those things i've always wanted but never had the setting to spend the money on it (refuse to buy nice knives when i have roommates)

this is where my E8s may end up, my system will probably be 3-way all frontstage so i'm going to have to have a lot of low end coming out of my doors. we'll see how the E8s perform, hopefully they'll be installed within the next 1-2 years.

sean, i need recommendations for kitchen knives. I love the look of damascus but is it a good steel for kitchen knives? what brands should i look at? i was looking at the Calphalon Katana series but it's mainstream and i'm sure there's something i don't know of that's far superior and hopefully not too much more expensive?

don't know anything about them but i'm sure i don't have to say that you shouldn't choose a carry gun by its price.

As long as we apply equally to the folks saying "you're a dumbass" "what are you, retarded?" I wholly agree that's an awful idea, what are you, retarded? no...you're a dumbass j/k

Happy Birthday! are we going drinking this weekend? I thought it was throw everything back in dave's car on saturday?

i saw stall, i'm assuming a higher stall torque converter? i'm not a fan of those at all, but you don't really have mountains either.
-
actually after looking i'm probably going to just go with an integrated amp. i wanted the receiver for switching radio/tv/dvd etc easily but nothing is meeting my needs and doing it well/cheaply. I'm not so lazy that i can't switch a pair of rca's when i want to listen to the radio.

Ok so I'm looking for a receiver to power the ZDT 3.5s. it has to be 4ohm stable and I'd like a remote and prefer 80W/channel at least.

do you pull the trigger with the pad of your finger or with the joint? sounds like you're using the joint if you're pulling, try using the pad or even a little further out (whatever feels more comfortable) it'll help you pull directly back instead of at an angle causing the pull. also how much travel does your trigger have? might be time for a trigger job, that helped my aim better than anything i had done to my 1911
