Ok so it seems like every major company is coming out with new slim subs. I can't interpret T/S parameters that well and i don't have experience with any of them so give me some options. I'm looking for a sub for the fiero. It will be going one of two sucky places. #1 in the console between the seats (meaning the sub would be firing about 17" away from my nose) this would require an extremely shallow sub but could be up to 10" in diameter (could fit a 12 but airspace would never be sufficient) #2 in the passenger kickpanel area (but in the corner closer to the center of the vehicle) which means it'd be firing towards the passenger for this i'm thinking mpyre 6.5s woudl work nicely (2 of them) but i have no experience with them and the price tag is not inviting. I also need to crawl under the vehicle and see how much free space i have in front of the gas tank as i might be molding a box in there. What i hate about this is it just isn't aesthetically pleasing to see a sub firing at your crotch. #3 i guess i could technically go all out and put a sub in the trunk or boot(?) and port it into the cabin but with all the other work i'll be doing this is a project that would probably never get finished. either way i'm severely limited on space, i'll have 7's in the doors if it kills me, so i don't need midbass, i'll have that covered. I need a sub that'll get low and stay accurate, i know shallow subs aren't notorious for the former, no idea about the latter.

I think i need to listen to more speaker setups before deciding

i just finished the book, and was reminded of how much i hate open endings
-
this book is beyond boring, i'm 30 pages in, about 30 to go
-
wow this book/play .... dude meets girl....within a few hours dude is engaged to girl, I have a feeling dude is not smart
-
goodnight sean. i am going to make myself finish reading this stupid play, then maybe sleep

i really don't think i'll have the room for 8s in the door, though that would be extremely nice. the other thing i've been considering is spending WAYYYY too much on mids...like say these... http://www.madisound.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi...58&pid=1178 or an usher 7" my door pods can have plenty of space, i can probably even get them over a cube without too much trouble. i can't find the exceptionally high priced mid i was looking at before, i'm thinking it was around $200/mid
-
well in the center console, i might be able to squeeze out .25cubes, but even that would require relocation of the computer. In the passenger floor i think i can manage a cube. here's some links that i've been looking at. i don't expect much from kenwood but i wanted to at least see it, actually i don't expect any shallow sub will suffice
-
goodnight, i still need to buy my cell phys book so i can pass that class
-
wtf, i just saw in a magazine that jl audio and kenwood have slim subs coming out and i can't find chit about them on the internet
-
nobody is talking...
-
no real homework tonight FTW
-
what was the setup you heard the excels in?
-
with the subs in the corner like that you're likely to experience cancellation. I'd use the corners for amp/processor mounting (and a false floor)
-
^^ agreed

yep, if you wanna contact him, thats the quickest way...though it's starting to get boring, 1955 should be out soon
