it says i don't have permission to use that feature ...go figure
-
you can connect it somwhere? i don't know what your engine bay looks like
-
i think it was the how's this sound thread he said sealed boxes are only for "extreme sq applications"
-
i'm sorry chevy but i must correct you, as jack handy has taught us all, mankind is one word, made up of two words, "mank" and "ind"
-
after you read all of them, then, and only then, will you fully understand
-
use the right size allen wrench? sounds like you are having a metric/standard problem

pucking pharmacy tech certification test just took $139 out of my account. i really better pass this damn test

while winISD doesn't show it, a speaker will roll off above and below its frequency range, upper end is usually from inductance
-
yea i noticed that on the winISD plot, i always thought it was exponential for some reason though.

there...notice how the tuning of 45hz(red line) has an F3 of ~35hz and the 20hz tuning (green line) has an f3 of about 29hz. f3 is just where the line crosses the -3db mark, but those are just winisd graphs and in no way show in vehicle response
-
F3 just means that at that frequency the sub has rolled off 3db. anything below that will be rolled off more and at an exponential rate usually.

come over to dave's on a sunday, that's pretty much exactly what we do...that is grilling, beers and talking (and some audio stuff), not the orgy stuff

http://cgi.ebay.com/Pair-of-TOTEM-Acoustic...1QQcmdZViewItem jesus christ those are sexy
-
depends on what you mean. If you're talking about an F3 that's listed with T/S parameters then no you can't change that because that's the -3db point of that speaker free air. But when building a box the size and tuning of the box will change your F3 point, and can change it drastically

every time it's the same chit, i think it's a chronic sinus infection (maxillary) sore throat (i think from drainage) my teeth hurt from the pressure (this is why i think it's maxillary) slighty headache, vision is affected (unable to focus as well) fever upset stomach (i believe this is also from the drainage) but i can't figure out WHY i would continue to get the infections, i don't smoke and i'm not around smoking people except when i go home (lived with the smoking parents for 18 years)

if sealed is only for extreme sq, where does that put IB?

i wish more people properly packaged stuff when they shipped it. I've had a lot of good luck with UPS and fedex cause i've got some piss-poor packaging jobs where it was almost a miracle the sub made it to me. i bought a 12" ava that came in a cardboard box with a paper towel (two squares, not a roll) between the motor and the box, and a piece of 1/8" hardboard between the cone and box. When i bought my 12" Q (used) it came in the original packaging but the guy had obviously ripped the foam apart to get to the sub when he got it, so how did he reattach the foam??? take a look for yourself, this is exactly what it looked like after i pulled the sub out to inspect the surround. that's right, bamboo skewers

fryman was just as annoying at times
-
ok is dopey really just cbfryman?
-
ah yes, he doesn't know the difference so it doesn't matter if we give correct info or not. the Alpine MRD-M1005 is not 1ohm stable, so you will want dual 1 ohm Qs. But you want to wire the coils in series. That is wire the + to the _ on the woofer and use the remaining _ and + to run to the amp.

damn this is making me hungry for bad food....i'm wanting some potato skins (cheese and jalape
