Ok the update for today...painted the spectrum black so it wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb. Disassembled the 2.8 and discovered the source of its knock..spun rod bearing, but i didn't take any pics. I got the water drained out of the trunk and put the new plugs in the 3800 as well as got the headers wrapped. I couldn't find my rubber gloves in the dark so i did it barehanded....yea the wrap is fiberglass and my fingers are itching like crazy. after i finished that i was covering the engine back up and a pucking wasp got me. That makes 4 stings I've had in the past...3 days? now it's pic time... rear side of the engine.. crossover pipe front side of the engine. I stuck the stock shielding back on just because the starter and a/c will be directly under the manifold. and i had to show off the sc

disassembled the old 2.8 and found it did in fact have a spun rod bearing. Most of the gaskets were gone in it as well. managed to get stung on the damn knuckle again, this time left hand. Did get the exhaust wrapped though, uploading the pics now so expect an update soon.

i have to move back to bburg this weekend so it probably won't be running until december when i get my next break. of course that's not drivable running either. A lot of my necessary parts didn't arrive as planned, all the stuff like the spectrum made it here on time though. i need my cradle bushings, water hoses, and axles to really be close to finished.

here's pics of the spectrum firewall on the engine bay. I only put a little on the sides, and about a 2mm layer on the engine side of the trunk, 1mm on the trunk side of the trunk. The actual firewall got a good 3-4mm layer (thicker in some areas) since that's really the reason i bought it. sorry for the crappy pics but i found another wasp nest and they didn't like me taking pics so close to their home so i didn't even notice i had the camera set for the super close pics(note how the up close stuff is in perfect focus). I'll take some better pics when i go to drill some holes in the trunk for water to drain from last night. Firewall... Left side of engine bay... btw one thick ass coat of deadener on. The new spectrum firewall is MUCH thicker and pretty much impossible to spray.

i hear ya ramos, it was just talking about how dry it's going to be here...pucking 90's with horrible humidity and a dry spell....any chance of snow to go along with that?

just removed one of the wasp nests from the fiero. Dad got stung once and we only let one get away. i'm sure there's at least one more in the bumper. Weird ass wasps though, never seen any like them before. Half of them look like your basic paper wasp but the other half are much larger and completely orange/brown. The orange/brown ones are probably over an inch long.

pucking chewy wakes me up at 8am growling at me...no clue what he wants, but whateverit is he wants it right now. I ask again and again what he wants. now you have to know my dog..if you say "what do you want" he'll almost always show you to going and getting it, or standing by the door if he wants to go outside. Well he doesn't do a damn thing, just looks me dead in the eyes and growls. So i cuss him and go back to sleep. Shortly thereafter i hear him hit the adjacent bathroom and i actually hear him walking around in the tub. This leaves me quite clueless unles i start hearing the sounds of liquid exiting his arseho quickly. Damn dog had diarrhea and luckily he got in the tub to do it, but still sprayed chit everywhere and then decided to drag my t-shirt in with him to try to ...actually i don't know, probably wipe his ass. now i have the door to the bathroom closed cause i just almost threw up twice trying to clean it.
