i had a 4 second race with a mustang the other day (not newest style, one before that) was a convertible, huge dual exhausts. We were on the ramp getting on to 460 and as we enter the ramp he tries to show off and stomps down on it, only thing that saved me was i was still in the straight patch when i heard him so i was able to get a little speed before entering the kiss your ass on-ramp. I can't imagine the car is THAT awful in curves but i caught up to the pucker and pulled right up on his bumper, stayed there until the road got straight again... then he walked away from me, easily

i think the snobby part has a lot to do with the fact that 99% of people that say sound quality don't actually care about it or understand what it is.

a state cop friend has a chrono, i'll try and get a few measurments. but i bet your thinking hex barrel when i believe it's hex rifling. not 100% for sure, but i can't see a barrel NOT being round. seems if it wasn't, not only would gas escape, but it would throw the bullet into a wobble vs a tight spiral. and the s&w 460 mag is indeed the fastest handgun on the planet, save some one shot tc contender magnum rifle caliber. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee you're probably right about the rifling, i was more interested in the results and kind of pissed that it was on a gun i have no desire to own. 2000fps....holy chit yea, the barrel isn't round, it's got like a hexagonal cut or some chit, never really understood it (seems to me like gas would pass beside the bullet and cause it to not shoot the bullet as fast. But there was some test showing that the glock shooting the same round as a 1911 and the glock had much better bullet speeds.

I liked my 12" Q just fine in a sealed enclosure, i ended up switching for a 15 to get more low end but the 12 should have plenty for just about anyone.

i'm kind of bad in that i hate glocks and have never fired a single one. I just don't like the concept behind the gun, the way their technologies are implemented....well i do enjoy the weird barrel technology, forget what it's called now though.

I'll probably get ahold of him later this year or early next and start practicing with him, then shoot a couple competitions sometime next year.

yep, when he was selling me on the .38 super i told him i really liked the .45 so far, plenty of knockdown power and didn't kick as bad as my dad's 9mm. he then goes into the physics of the 9mm and why it's not that great of a round, explains how the .38 super is cartridged different for less kick and then just rubs it in by telling me his gun held 3x the ammo of mine.
