ryan, any suggestions for a PSU? any brand i should look for or stay away from? right now i'm kind of digging this one though it's ugly as sin (who gives a damn?) http://www.gearxs.com/gearxs/product_info....roducts_id=8869 and any reason not to go with house brand RAM? http://www.komusa.com/kofco1533pcc.html what do those damn options means with the ram? anything i actually need to get?

i need PSU advice for this damn laptop. I plan on getting two sticks of ram, 1gig each PC2-4200 and a PSU, i'm guessing 500W will be sufficient. running a 3.4ghz or so processor, dvd burner and two hard drives, only added cards are wireless card, everything else is on motherboard. fucker is still being incredibly unreliable, at this point i can only imagine that the random overheating from the PSU has killed the memory? it should be obvious i don't know a whole lot about computers but anyone that has recommendations for ram or a PSU let me know.

i am really not ready for school to start back tomorrow.

sorry about the crappy pics but i can't move the sun and mom's digi cam sucks(or maybe i don't know how to use it). The plan is to actually have it in the fiero by this evening. We will see how that goes. these next two are just of the 3800 hanging gracefully on it's hoist. These two are of the old cradle, first showing rust, 2nd showing where it was dented and twisted. these two show the new cradle with the welded on mounting plates. (note that little hump covered in plastic is the old engine, i'll be taking some pieces off of it later just to throw them on ebay.) had to block out my super secret secrets

cd-rw brands that work
vladd replied to slim2fattycake's topic in Computers / Electronics / Music / Games
If you have an older head unit they can be quite picky with different disks. I remember back in the day the color made huge differences and RW disks were even pickier. All i can recommend is keep searching till you find a style that works. That or get a new HU -
i'll update the thread with it too, and yes that's me in the video telling dad that opening the throttle ain't gonna do shit must be hard getting away from the days of the carbs.
-
i'd be interested if it was the old school one that matched mine. i'm really tempted to do a pair of belle's in the fiero. 8ch at 75W each + 2x1100 i could do anything.

da7232 turns off
vladd replied to snhtown's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
not familiar with that amp but does it go in to protect? does it just turn off for a second or shut off completely? -
the damn product is just supposed to help, i mean really if we found a 100% cure for the common cold do you think it'd be as cheap as airborne? dumbshits think they deserve to get paid for getting sick.

my dream girl, not so much the red hair as it is the crazy bitch. I do absolutely love crazy bitches. on a crazy bitch note, 100% serious discussion where we're picking weird places to have sex...my place doesn't matter, her request.... "a playground" i just...wow, how screwed up is that? I LOVE IT

well then take pics of that stuff well the interior just looks "normal" except for the computer being velcro'd to the carpet behind the driver's seat (ghetto temporary until i figure out my sub situation) and thanks everyone else for the kind words, progress has been slow as hell, and i probably won't get to touch it again until summer...and the damn bees again. edit: i have a vid of us cranking the car up but it's on my cell phone and i can't upload it till tomorrow when i get back to my laptop.
-
the real progress doesn't show in pics. We got the new computer in, got the wiring ran in the interior and only have three more wires to hook up (need good wire to extend it). The car does crank up now, and the shifter is finished.

fiero pics updated, you lazy bastages don't get a link, just go to new posts

ok so lets start with what i have of the exhaust. Had to pretty much start all over because the engine sits WAY lower than we expected. What you see is about 1/2 of the exhaust. I'll have a cat on each side like the one pictured (other was supposed to be here yesterday). From there it goes about about 4" more then another 90* angle and it comes about 14" to exit. Not a very long exhaust at all. heh. the rest of these are just suspension....ball joints and tie rods will hopefully be here tomorrow. this next picture shows my two favorite tools, the torch and the hammer.
-
uploading pics of the fiero suspension right now, though it isn't much to look at. And i'm pissed at dad once again, fucker didn't pull the poly bushings out before he painted one of the control arms. We got in a fight last night about him connecting two strands of battery cable with a fucking screw clamp, and then he put the SS motormat in the bottom of the trunk where water is notorious for pooling in the fiero. grrr

mkader, wasn't referring to you in the 8" woofer thread, was actually requesting it because i had to keep going through the thread looking for info.
-
any chance you could edit the first post with all the necessary info? i'm sure we'll be getting a lot of repeat questions.

sounds like a damn good price to me
