Nikon does a better job at attracting newbies. Newbies only care about MP and NIkon has got Canon beat on MP/$ We'll see how much shooting I do when I move and lose the landscape opportunities I have here. The fear of stopping the hobby is what's stopping my from investing more money into it.

The release of the 7Dii also made the value of used 7D's drop like a sack of potatoes. So much so that even my broke ass could afford one.

Thanks fellas. Did good enough to get a job and get into grad school. That's good enough for me!

FrostedFlakeJake's Picture a Day

It wasn't a beautiful day, but it's a picture nonetheless lighthouse by frostedflakejake1, on Flickr -
Yes. I steal from Julian who steal from bassahaulic! Basically, I've had a photo hobby for a number of years now. I've talked about it before here, but not often. Before recently, I was an all film kinda guy. Just what I was used to. I finally puckered up and bought my first DSLR. Nothing too crazy, just a Canon 600D. Like I said, this is just a hobby for me. Nothing too serious. Regardless, the practice to getting good and familiar with shooting is, like anything, PRACTICE! So the more motivation I have to do said practice, the better! Whether or not anyone takes interest in this, there will still be some sort of pressure for me to post a picture everyday which means I should be shooting everyday Again, I am merely a hobbyist. Not a professional. And bare with me, as I am not familiar with all the gadgets on the DSLR's. Such as white balance options and being able to edit contrast and saturation and such. I've already posted one picture in the IHOP a few weeks ago I took of a helmet I purchased. You may see it again. I really liked that photo. OH. If you haven't figured out yet, this has absolutely nothing to do with car audio. I also don't do photoshop. If I do, you'll be able to tell (like half a photo in BW half in color). It's just not something I dig (A.K.A. i'm too busy to learn the true potential of photoshop and, going back to the film thing, kind of a traditionalist).

Shit got deep in the hop. I'm not as wise as Stefan so i'll tango. I guess that would depend on what you believe God's role is. If you're "programmed" to die early, why can't other people be programmed by the same god to develop something to derail you from your early death? I hope I'm programmed to find a rich busty woman....

You mean finger picking? Or you mean finger tapping? Either are fine. I took classical lessons for 11 years and in high school played Eruption while hosting the battle of the bands during a set change to keep the crowd entertained. Pick work is what is demoralizing to me. The stupidly easy 3, 8, 3, 4 open E pattern in Holy Wars is just not playable for me anymore. I can't say that I spend much time practicing it, but that is also because it pisses me off since I can't nail the damn rhythym. I can't believe I'm having a hard time finding a video to accurately describe this. My lack of understanding probably stems from the one "fingerstyle" artist i saw live playing in a certain way. What I mean is kind of like playing a guitar like a piano, where you have both a harmony and melody element existing simultaneously. This requires great finger picking work (what i'm struggling with). I imagine your classical training would help you exceed at something like this. Kinda like the first few seconds of this: https://youtu.be/CJ0pFGHdEcU?t=227

Sean can you do any fingerstyle work? Never had any experience with it and just started trying it. I knew I would struggle but holy cow is it demoralizing!!!

In search of new Sub, Please help

Don't want to get off topic, but do you know why you fried the coil on the SSD? Just want to make sure you don't spend more hard earned $$$ on equipment and then ruin it again. -
Music enclosure for in home, FI BTL 18

I have that set in gold. My problem stemmed from these two things: I couldn't get the insert nuts perfectly square on all four corners. I did get them close enough to where I didn't think it would be a problem My carpet is so spongy that the discs the spikes were resting on would sink into the carpet a far ways. This caused me to make them almost as tall as possible using the threaded rod. This amplified the non-square insert nut problem. Ended up bending a rod.So mostly user error. But it can be difficult to get those things in there perfectly square. Just my experience. If you're careful and patient they'll probably work just fine -
Not surprised

I sure am!

Make sure the spikes can handle the weight. Had problems with the Dayton ones on my HT box -
Is on the Mustang. I don't have the tool, was going to do the second video's route. Only other route is change the rims which I don't really want to do. I dont see why not. The only issue would be the quality of the metal that you are trying to roll out and maybe getting the paint too hot Worked fine with the baseball bat. I didn't have to worry about paint. Glad to hear that. I have that eastwood paint roller and I am less than impressed with it.

I ran an Iraggi 260 amp alternator with a SAZ-3000D and one Shuriken BT-120 in the back to accommodate my stock battery and I never saw lower than 12.5 at idle on full tilt. But then again I hardly ever ran full tilt at idle. I also never did dual 0/1 for batteries. I did a single line to positive and a single line to ground. Need to do the big 3 once you get the equipment. 12awg will be fine.

I've been contemplating the E30 bandwagon. Between that and TurboII RX7.
