+1 to the knukonceptz their terminals are super easy to use, as the 1/0 gauge terminals i buy from hardware stores are often not big enough. HOWEVER, the knukonceptz ones are a little weak... i wouldn't use the terminals to do the big 3 as all the vibration going on in there. but for everything else, they are my favorite ones! and for their price, they are a steal! 2 1/0 gauge terminals at my hardware runs me $10.00!!!

Recommend me an amp for a incriminator audio lethal injection DVC 4ohm
Frostedflakejake replied to ExplicitYourSelf's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
oh man, you're asking someone on THIS forum to vouch for a sundown amplifier? okay so when i was choosing an amp my responses were pretty much 20 people saying sundown and a few people saying some random brands. this forum is absolutely full of sundown lovers. its the sole reason i purchased mine. Sundowns do rated power and are good quality amplifiers. I haven't even used mine yet but i can still recommend it from what i've read from other people. I would recommend their amps to anyone; as long as it fits their application that is. so sure! go buy yourself a saz-1000D -
Alpine 9886 w/ pxa-h100 vs pioneer p800prs

i'm not too sure if i would expect to get $350 for that set up... I, and anyone, can get it new for about $400-$415. Personally, i wouldn't buy it used at $350. and i think i know what you're talking about with the ipod interface. there are some problems... but i still think it's very good. unfortunately i have no experience with the pioneer so i can't help there. -
so i've been wondering the different ways that users put security into their car. especially since there are usually $1000's in audio equipment sitting in there. alarms? park in garage? NRA sticker? Shatter Proof Glass? i'm just curious =] also, i hear about people getting insurance on their items so they can get fully refunded if stolen; any of you ever do anything like that? (i'm seriously considering it) thanks!

i was thinking about some batman stuff... making a sliding track for some 1/2" thick metal to slide up over the back windows (2004 explorer) to make it a little bit harder to get into. fully serious about doing it, but i think it would rattle to hell. maybe... NYLON!!

oh that shizzzon is doing it again. -
oh man i had a real problem with this at first because i wanted and could have gotten the license plate "fiaudio". i wanted it reallllll bad but i decided it would just be an invitation to anyone who knows the company. same thing with the stickers. how much does it cost? and... how exactly would one go about doing that? i have no clue how to insure material possessions.

yeah. lol. i would feel much more comfortable if my car was being parked at a house, but its not. College parking while i live in dorms. i don't expect my windows to stay un-broken for too long..

yeah get a digital volt meter and see what it reads. You shouldn't need an H/O alt with that power. I would say either the gauge is wrong or something strange is happening somewhere... not questioning your work at all, just that doesn't really make sense.

Any way to make Rock/Metal sound good with a subwoofer?
Frostedflakejake replied to bartwo's topic in General Audio
yeah somethings wrong there. it may not be as loud as the rap, but it should definately be noticeable. What kind of box is it in? That could be the culprite. I had two relatively noob setups (2 12'' mtx tr55 in a mtx ported box and 2 12'' Pioneer Championship series cheapies in Sealed boxes) and both provided a good, noticable addition to my music regardless of what genre i was listening to. And that was on a Crunch p1100.2, which is saying something. And you have a relatively cheap sub, and a relatively cheap amp BUT that doesn't necessarily mean that the sub shouldn't be noticeable. The box is real real real really important. so that information would help us greatly. of course, rock and metal "kick" would sound best with a good mid-stage but i know alot of people don't want to get into that. -
Wasn't entirely sure on what section to stick this one in... So i've seen a few companies that make these "bass shakers" (mostly Aurasound.) I was wondering if anyone had any expereince with any bass shaker. I am by no means interested in buying one, just more or less curious about placement and effectiveness. If you ask me, they kind of sound like a stupid idea... but what do i know. They kinda look fun to play around with... but not for how much they cost.... and do they shake different for different frequencies or....? it's all confusing to me. thanks!

heheheh. That's kinda what i was thinking. they seem more like a showoff item. It seemed like something that would get annoying after a while..

FLIGHT PLANE with Jodie foster? she designed this like huge plane and lost her daughter on it and like her daughter never really boarded and was dead all alone and Ms. Foster was just crazy. that was THE worst movie i've ever seen. nothing more boring then a bunch of "have you seen my daughter??!!! NO!!! she is on this plane!!!!" for 2 hours.

HA Duran's got the right idea =] i told him just about the same thing meditating rocks!

i use to have this problem as well. it was really screwing up my high-school schedule. my solution was meditation. i have a Buddhist friend and his mother introduced me to the idea of it when she heard of my sleep troubles. you don't need any of that fancy incense and candles crap. you can look up exercises. two years later i still do the most basic one, i simply focus on breathing (or focus on that space in-between taking breaths in, and letting them out.) just completely focus on your breathing and nothing else. if a thought comes, address that it exists, and let it pass. it may take you a couple tries. my first time i completely forget what i was doing and where i was and i fell asleep!! the bottom line is that you have to take it seriously. if i can't fall asleep, i do the above exercise until i fall asleep. takes anywhere from 5-20 minutes from me. Either way, if you do it right, it will relax the HELL out of you. hope that helps! p.s. the key is to NOT let your mind wonders. focus on the breathing and the breathing alone. that is the key
