    Welcome to the IHoP

if you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for your 954 and what was the mileage when you got it?

    Welcome to the IHoP

Surprised this is the first time Ducati has come up. Hate their dry clutch's. LAWL. The 1190 RS is a joke when it comes to retail. Even EBR knows it. It was just a way for them to come to the public and say "we're here for real". Which is why I said i'm excited to see their full line-up when it comes out. Either way, i'm not even a huge sport-bike fan. I like the 1190rs because it is different, a little bit. The headlight configuration is different and i enjoy the lack of Tuner-esque graphics on it. That being said, even if the bike was $12,000 I wouldn't buy it. I don't race my Buell so I don't really care how slow it is. It's comfy. Has usable power. I think it's gorgeous now (small modifications). And most importantly to me: I don't see them on the street that often. And i like that it's american, take that for what you will, but that really does add something for me.

    Auto history / carfax

Depending on the make I may or may not be able to get records. If you would like to PM me the VIN I would be more than happy to check.

how much torque? Couldn't find a number online. Therefore I win. The only thing I don't like the Buell so far is the unavailability of parts

    Welcome to the IHoP

I'm interested in seeing the EBR line-up when it comes out. I wouldn't mind a Triumph 675 or a KTM Duke myself. The only real Jap bike i could see myself on is an early 2000 Vmax.

I ensure you, I do get it. Although not all of what you said was true... The Americans are working their way to the podiums though! EBR Winning

    Enough ventilation?

I just have my fans connected to a switch on the dash and then connected to my battery. Personally I wouldn't run that without fans, but that's not saying much. I've never had an amplifier that wasn't cooled somehow by external fans. You know man; it's always that "well it could be just fine.... or it could be not okay at all". Why risk it? You'd have to do more work later anyways if it goes south and your amps keep popping into protect!

    recone sa-15 to sa-8?

I also think this is true. Plus this is also the case on the Skar models.

But there isn't a chance in hell that your Jeep's stock electrical system will be able to handle 2500 watts daily. You're going to need a high output alternator and a battery in the rear.

This. There is absolutely nothing wrong with doing this. a 2500 watt amplifier can make wattage up to 2500 watts. You could run a 600 watt subwoofer off of it if you wanted to. I ran the same BTL you have off of a 3000d for over a year with out a single problem.

http://www.linearteam.dk/default.aspx?pageid=winisd Click the link. Download the software. USE THE TUTORIAL. Measuring the maximum dimensions you could use in your Jeep would be a great help.

So essentially what you're going to get is a bunch of people recommending whatever amplifier they think is the greatest. We're all biased. I had a 2nd generation (same as yours) 18" BTL. Ran it off of a Sundown Audio SAZ-3000d which I still use now. I would recommend Sundown Audio amplifiers because I've never heard anyone who has had one complain about it. Lots of people here are SA biased, but lots of that bias is for good reason. If it was me, I would do exactly what I did and purchase a refurbished Sundown Audio amplifier from db-r electronics. They are the official Sundown Audio refurb company and the owner, Chris, has really good customer service. He even offers warranties with his refurbs. The amp i would buy. I would have bought that amp if it was for sale back when i bought my 3000d. If that's too much money for you, which is completely understandable, then pick pretty much any amplifier you want given distortion is preferably at or below 1% THD, efficiency about 83%, and measures output in RMS at a voltage you are actually going to see (12 v or 14v. NO 16v or 17v) There are endless amplifiers out there that would fit in the bill. Almost all of them do exactly what the specifications say they will do and malfunction at user error.

    Replacing my z v.2' s

What other brands have woofers have you ran? Do you want to keep the new woofers to two 15's in the same box you used for the Z's? Might be seeing me in your forsale thread when it comes about...

Officially have no idea what in God's name you two are talking about. And when you don't know what the terminology means, it sounds rather humorous. Likewise, lab reports are not fun. Do I care about transient signals? Well.... yeah I do, but not this much!

The biggest? that would depend on the amount of room you have to put the box in. Generally speaking, the larger box you have, the peakier (louder) the response curve will be AND power handling capabilities of the drivers used will decrease. WinISD is free software that can help you model driver response curves based on T/S specifications and can be used to compare boxes between a certain driver. You can find it for download all over google.
