WTT/WTB havocs, Fi Q, IDMAX, or similar
blakflash replied to skittlesRgood's topic in For Sale/Wanted
i have two 12 d2 idmax v3 if you're interested. -
i have two tn and one ga plates if you want them

Have you double checked the connections from the stereo? Kinda sounds like you might have the wrong singals going to the wrong speakers. Having high frequencies going through the sub would heat it up as it is not cooling itself. And that could explain why your tweets distort when messing with the EQ. A signal issue is all that comes to mind to me. Try running some test tones as well.

I've had a very good experience with using 2 Fi X's at 800 watts on a qsc amp. I would suggest th sp4 from Fi, or go with with the TC sounds Pro or Ultra. Looking at your setup I would suggest TC sounds. You can go to their website but as of right now partsexpress is the only online dealer that I've found so far. For more info on enclosures i would suggest posting on the TC forums. There are several very knowledgeable people on there that can give you suggestions.

I got a specific question. In a daily setup tuned to have a fairly flat response in the optimum sized ported enclosure, which one would have the highest average output over the majority of the frequency range of lets say 28-65? I'm trying to decide whether to buy a used N2 and a new SP4... I love the 21 Warden I have but it's in a SUV. The next one is going in a trunk. I could use the weight savings. But I would like to be able to have more output and run a single sub setup instead of two Idmaxes.

Thanks to you in Duran for explaining that. I see it as a worthwhile investment to because in my opinion it will increase the longevity in the long run...

I'm confused on the purpose/gain of the spaced spider..

Well I found this thread informal at least.. The first time I tried aeros I did it on a 21" warden and the psp-inc website doesn't give recommendations based on woofer specs just on the enclosure. Needless to say.. I don't design or build my own enclosures.. I do try to map them out on free programs. But the shop I go to for this has much better tools at hand. I buy what I want to use and they do the rest.... Even if it's not what I wanted them to do... I do want to see the results of this build though. I want to do an 18" and I'm trying to decide on the N2, Xl, or XXX on 3k with about 6-7 cuft...

That trunk is bigger than it looks. In the same body style I got 8 cubes and still had room for 3 amps and two batteries. That was a two piece box though 3 15's sealed in that one

Do a tahoe or trailblazer....X2 on the tahoe because finding a dual alt bracket from a blazer sucks....
-
Not a bad idea may just put a hot wire across the gain and bass boost knobs. But back to the original question.....

I'm trying to figure which I would be better off doing a 15" N2 in 5 cuft box after port displacement or a 18" N2 in the same size box and same power tuned to 32 hz. What are some of the opinions of what I would lose/gain over going with the 18 as opposed to the 15 other than more cone area? I was thinking I might lose a little low end and get higher box rise on the 18" but then again I'm not 100% sure. I'm doing a build on my friends car while he's away. the car is a 04 sebring convertible. As far as power goes it'll be 1.5-2.5k. Not sure what I want to go with yet as he is not a very responsible listener and I'm probably going to have to glue the gain down to keep him from messing with it.

I'm a 21 warden in a 96 blazer as well. Can you post pics of your setup. I get a little heat on my dustcap as well. My box has a 2" fiberglass window in it and the coil never smokes or glows so that may be normal. It just depends on how the cooling system is designed from what I can tell from the many subs I've had. Like my IDmaxes where the the dustcap is used to draw out heat so its always warm after running for awhile.

Wiring problem with a 21 inch Warden and SAZ 3500
blakflash replied to escarado's topic in Incriminator Audio
if all else fails on the the amp part just solder it. I've also drilled a hole through the block and a nut and bolt or a screw and some funny looking threaded washer. Just be creative with it -
I've heard the same thing but from another source on a different subject. Was hoping the ssd or the n1 would be out by the end of the month but guess my friend will just have to get the N2. He has no idea what he's getting into asking me to pick out a sub for him
-
Right, I read that the N3 was more for SPL, but the last sub I owned was 'pure spl' and I really liked it for daily. If there's no mechanical reason like the tight gap on the SPL version of the Gen2 BTL then even if it doesn't sound super good it should have more motor strength. I guess I'm fishing for answer a bit before the new product is released and that isn't the policy, but I can try I 2nd that y warden sounds great daily for me and I normally ride around with IDmax's in my car. Waiting to see prices and what the N3 is like. You know it's funny I only happened upon this because some local guy was listing a 15" BTL for 550 on craigslist and I went to the FI website to check the price because I swear when I priced an 18" btl fully loaded it was under 500.. Just when I was going to get a DC neo or XL you guys finally release this... I'll wait to see the results as I love my X's and the ssds I talked my friend into getting lol

wow you just reminded me of the reason why i don't hang around much on ssa.. how is it showing hate if you are just stating facts. cthedinger I'm glad you posted this because earlier today I was thinking to myself about how noone had any foil covered CCF. He is on DSBP too, well, he was Here on SSA we will not sugar coat anything, if you have sand in your vagina we will point and laugh not give you a douche to get it out and proceed to kiss your ass. We don't put up with bull shit. Enough off topic talk, we've thread jacked enough. Drew if you have a problem with Coleman PM him, Blak if you have a problem with Drew PM him, no need to clutter a thread. putting it like it is and being an ass or a prick is two different things. It's what I call being immature. What did his comment have at all to do with this topic. I put up with dumbass people all day which is why I don't feel like putting up with people who act like little kids when I get home. You're comment, the way it's phrased, just makes it worse tbh. And in case you didn't notice I actually had something to say that had something to do with this thread and not some random bs just cuz someone has a hair up thier ass. And by all means people can kiss my ass all they want to I'll just kick them in the face and look down on them as they slither away. -

I got two of the fifteen Xs on 350 a piece. I'd say get the bp option and you won't have to alter the box size.
-
you interested in selling it??
-
you got anything for a 96 blazer 4.3 4wd

got my interest. hopefully it's done before I decide to buy a warden
