yes its a german amplifier.. here in my place.. the btl is 25k cheaper than the smd18.. uhm... ok let me change my question.. because whatever i do choose will defently be loud.. my main concern here is what will be more musical? im not sure if an18" sub can give that beat beat kind of bass.. so i would need a strong midbass which is very expensive here.. but would be great on low bass.. and can defently produce that heavy background kind of bass.. this way it will be more musical.. but without that expensive midbass spectral balance with the 18" sounds really bad.. in terms of musicality its thickness will not be there.. while using 15s it could defently give that beat beat kind of bass that hard punchy midbass like bass.. but that heavy background giant like sound that the 18s can produce would not be there again there would still be a missing element in terms of spectral balance.. i havent really seen or hear the smd in action.. that is why im not very familiar with it hence the question would be better and what would be more musical.. well if on the safe side.. and i end up getting one of them.. and still not get the sound that i want.. then i just might build a sealed box for whatever sub i get for it to have a flat response on all frequency.. then again.. i fear that smd i just built for spl and will be perfect for DBdrags.. but will not be good on musicality.. the btl 18s i have installed in one of my customers.. is defently missing that beat beat having slow bass effect due to its size.. and one more thing.. is AAchaos and Fi SSD considerd equal?

2x18" AA SMD vs 4pcs 15" fi BTL ufo

hmmm true.. but the sound of an 18" subwoofer is different from a 15s.. 18'subwoofer produces that heavy bass or really really big sound.. while as 15s will produce a more harder bass.. having of 2 18s is much easier to drive and to control.. unlike 4pcs of 15s.. correct me if im wrong.. im thinking of using 2 18" smds considering space.. easy to drive.. heavy bass kind of sound.. but im still not sure.. is smd subwoofer stronger than a btl?

    subwoofer cancellation

im planning to build 4 15" RE SRX on a toyota 1983 corolla DX.. the car is very small, and for me to fit them is to build a wall.. the car was used for racing and is in pretty bad shape.. so what i did to make fit the 4 15" was to make a new flat form for the boxes to stand on.. a new rear wall to have a flat surface.. now im building the box for the 4 15s.. the problem is. the car its self is pretty small.. and for me to build an independent box for the each 15 and go ported i need a bigger space but it seems i can only get 1.8 cubic ft. for each 15s. so i plan to go sealed on the 15s 2 subs in one common chamber.. what would cause these subwoofers to have cancellation? should i just go flat surface with all four subs facing front. or build a common chamber sealed box in a vshape box for 2.. the upper sub facing angled down, and the lower sub facing angled up equally.. some goes for the other 2 subwoofers.. or would this design cause cancellation?

    good tunning 8" 500rms

whats a good tuning for a subwoofer box using 8" for sq purpose and would bring out the best musicality beats for new wave songs? swing out sisters, bizzare love triangle original track, gona get your love, godfinger, reasons, etc etc i was thinking of using a sealed box, but the 8" on a sealed box would just produce hard beats.. i was thinking of 38hz on a 1.0 cubic feet? any suggestion? im kind new to SQ system, and im having a hard time deciding on how should i tune the box or go with a sealed.. i would want the output to produce hard beats when needed at the same time could produce long bass when needed.. :puzzled:

    help on MT10" db drag

SPL well if your going all out, too expensive, deadening, materials, batteries, reinforcing the car, destroying the car, alternator, recone, wires.. if your going to build one, just to play on DBdrags, dont use an expensive car hahaha.. we try to use here are old broken down cars.. hehehe.. really broken down.. we dont even need it to run lol.. as long as the engine starts and electrical are ok, then where good to go.. hahaha if results are good.. THEN we make it presentable and paint it a little.. just a little hehehe..

    help on MT10" db drag

hmm... its pretty expensive experimenting DB.. lol... i dunno man, we kind gave it a rest for a while, short on funds.. im not sure if a 57hz or higher tuning will bring up the score, but it also might do some damage on the MT (not sure).. but i am curious if a higher tuning will do the job..

    help on MT10" db drag

Different cars so things change a lot. Especially since it's a trunk car vs a hatch. What is the peak frequency of both cars ? If the peak frequencies are way different than having both tuned at 45hz is not helping. Is the trunk sealed off ? Meter on the dash, car sealed up ? both cars are sedans. both cars only have trunk deadening.. peak frequency im not sure bro, trunk sealed off? = yes meter on dash= yes car sealed= no we are thinking that the AAMP 5kw we are using is over rated and according to some of my friends, the cleanest power it can produce is atleast 3200 w powering the MT10" its either that, or we just pushing the Fi a bit too hard than the MT. we used stinger spv70 on both setups.. i dont know man, maybe we have to break the MT 10" before we make it hit 150+ or spend more but whats funny is.. we changed the subwoofer.. and used an RE SX10" and it hit 150.4-150.7 i dunno man, maybe we need to use 20 batteries on the MT 10" lol.. hence the MT 10" challenge.
