Audio Wrap vs Second Skin vs Fatmat vs Sound Deadener Showdown vs Edea
Shogen replied to Cthedinger's topic in Product Reviews
I think the part of the review of who sent emails faster, amount of product....etc shows how good the companies are....if they actually take care of their customers you know..... Agreed. it was nice to hear/see the differences though. -
I've yet to meet anyone in Jersey that knows SSA or FI ... Mainly Kicker/RF around here... The number one though is JL Audio, all the rich kids parents pay for their stuff

It lowers motor force considerably, which beings up QTS making it perform the best in a sealed enclosure. It will not hurt anything, but won't perform as well in a vented alignment compared to a sealed alignment. Thank you for the technical Duran. :-) .. I keep thinking sealed because I currently have a pioneer setup which outputs decently for what it is. So I figure just get a better woofer.
-
lol... nice. So yea. Thanks for the answer buddy.

High JACK! I was wondering about the highv QTS ... If I ordered a FI woofer 10" or 12" with this option and played around with it for a while on a sealed enclosure and say wanted to make that same setup louder.. If I went ported with the same sub would it cause some adverse affects because of the high QTS option?? Just wanted some info...

Electrical Mapping
Shogen replied to Shogen's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
So I went back and checked the voltage at the battery... float/resting voltage sits at or about 12.8-12.9 ... Have yet to recheck it with the car on... -
Does this make sense? Am I looking at this right? What I would like to do it setup my starter battery to an aux battery... I can connect the 2 negative terminals from both batteries okay, is it safe? Also, would I then still have to ground the aux battery to chassis? is it just good to have an extra ground off the aux battery? Could the amps be connected to the negative terminals of the aux battery if I have both terminals from the 2 batteries connected? Help me make sense of this or tell me how to do this better... Didn't think this was advanced so I made a generic post... thanks guys or does this work better?

Help with setting up active front stage

second this... especially if you're claiming they are "bright" .... don't wanna set a random gain that really won't mix with the mids... -

Enclosure Build for vwfamily (One 12 Inch SSA Dcon)
Shogen replied to Argent Audio's topic in Argent Audio
If I want to copycat that enclosure... how much?(Borat voice) -
I'm thinking it should cost more for shipping though.
-
That pricing is still up. I'm leaning towards believing its an insane deal. But why is shipping only 20? Surely 500ft of 0awg were weighs more that a box for a 12" woofer
-
Its just up there for reference... N/A for sale....
-
Goes out to Argent, What would it cost for a box @ 4.5 cubes Approx: Depth: 19" Width: 32" Height: 17" Shipped to 08816 Thanks

Which model? The CS60B model.... I love these.... They weren't on earlier today, right???? I think I am going nutz here ... Didn't see them in the store, only the yellow models...

Electrical Mapping
Shogen replied to Shogen's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Quoted from Kinetik's website...: " For additional power cells near your amplifier installation, run one positive wire from your starting battery or new replacement starting power cell to one of your Kinetik HC Power Cell positive terminal. Run one negative wire from your starting battery (or ground to vehicle chassis if necessary) to the negative terminal on the same Kinetik HC Power Cell. If adding more than one Kinetik HC Power Cell, continue to connect each power cell together in parallel (positive to positive and negative to negative) until all power cells are connected. " ^^--- so is this correct??? I actually only happened to read that by mistake.... makes sense? @impious: I'm gonna check out the battery readings in the morning ro see the resting/floating voltage...
