But the components crossover just divides the signal, below 3500 to woofer and above 3500 to tweeter. I dont think the components crossover has a high pass filter built in it. I dont think you wanna send a 40hz signal and risk blowing it I think I meant high pass... I was drinking and whatnot... lol...

Listen to this man... Just got my Icon in a ported cuz I gave into Stef and Lance .... It's been Facking great so far... Wish I had the proper amplifier though... I might be able to get a sweet deal on a US AMP VLX2 but I'll see what happens later into the spring...

Can I do anything special with these component speakers???
Shogen posted a topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_info.php?cPath=1_23_127&products_id=617 System Type 2-Way Frequency Response 40Hz - 20KHz System Sensitivity 89dB Final Impedance 4 Ohm I currently own these 2 amplifiers: Boston Acoustics GT2125 Sundown SAX 100.2 One of the crossovers is damaged so it cannot be used. What could I do? Could I possibly run the tweets off the BA amp and the woofer off the Sundown amp? Other suggestions?? -
If you're using a low pass filter you might have it set too high. Check that plus I don't know fir sure but some component sets have a tweeter position/level on the crossover itself. Maybe it is set to '+' or 'high'? Check that out. Also I think you should have the amplifier set to flat as the crossover should be doing most of the work.

Well I wouldn't have even thought to drill from inside.. But your right about possible chipping... Tape off the area you will be drilling into though.... Drill from outside with slow speed... -

Electrical Upgrades for Around 3000watts
Shogen replied to MikeMartel's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Id say def get a good size battery under the Hood for now and BIG 3. if it needs more then look into a HO alternator. -
I looked at them a while back... Don't know anyone with them so it was hard to find anything but youtube videos....

I second this... What car do you have? Possibly your stock alternator just isn't enough .. Maybe just doing the alt upgrade and BIG 3 will be sufficient... I'd still get the battery if it fits under the hood... But that's justgme... -

umm... you can put your bass in a can and it should lower it a bit... or you could set your gains properly and not push the volume knob high up... -

Yea, I don't know what to get to "fix" the crossover... I don't really know what that piece is that is missing... As far as the screws and rust go though, I think I should be able to get that cleared up fine... -
Have been bumpin' that song a good 2 weeks now... love the bass and editing on it... Those Bravox sound nice and loud...
