    Welcome to the IHoP

How often do you crash into trees and branches? If a crash is rubbing into them, then EVERY ride. If its falling off the sled because I walloped something then not yet. I was just fucking with ya, but I'd be worried the first branch to rub would scrap it right off. That's why I asked. Might not care in some regard though if it comes off as easy as it seems as it's more a try out the white...

How does the plastidip hold up? Thinking of doing my snowmobile hood... I don't love the argyle and figure it would be an interesting trial.

Not saying to name it that, but figured if I didn't quote it, you wouldn't watch. Still almost didn't, but the "you wouldn't watch" got me

    8" midbass dilemma

Agree on all points so far, except one. The RS225 is not much of a midbass driver and has great upper midrange for an 8, but is seriously lacking in midbass. For a 3 way it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I was a bit disappointed when I unboxed mine as well, but bought them for a 2 way which they did pretty well. As for what midbass to run, that'll depend on your mids. Typically midbasses that perform well in your scenario fall flat on their face above 200-300Hz as it generally is best to use a sub if you are looking for the impact that it sounds you are. Of course at those frequencies there is no need to have them as on axis as your install either so if you did rebuild you could save a lot of space. That being said, what is the rest of the install? I would always first focus on the majority of the audio spectrum and then make the rest blend and match. That portion you havent' shared.

Bleh, just name it, it's a boat, it needs a name ! Disagree, I think it's tacky on small boats.

    Welcome to the IHoP

Have to name my boat, Makin' Waves and considering it's a wakeboard boat that would even fit.

    Welcome to the IHoP

The boat's getting an Xcon. Won't be doing any hair tricks, but I might actually post a vid when it gets finalized of a wave trick. Pretty sure it'll get my hull going enough to make some waves.

And now that I realize one was your girlfriend, get a different donor for that trick.

    epic dubstep hairtrick!

Time for a new one. A boob trick. Props to those that can get them oscillating out of phase with each other and with an amplitude of more than half the diameter.

In other words, perhaps they are stupid. Sure looked like it was going that route in the early 90's and I somehow doubt it got better.

That is in the storage area, not the passenger compartment. If they state differently their lawyer sucks. Of course, being it's been more than 20 years since I competed or read any rules perhaps going by my reading of that isn't such a great idea.

    Help with 18" Box

I really wanted to see that 17' x 40' x 30' deep box fit in a car. Ought to fill around 62 12yard dump trucks and that doesn't even include the port.

I have this feeling I misunderstood your question though.

    Welcome to the IHoP

Huh? F3, F is for Frequency, 3 is for 3dB down point. Only two things can affect the roll off, being a ported box the slope of the roll off is 2x the slope of a sealed. Driver response of course is the other and dependent on the mechanical properties of the sub.
