    Welcome to the IHoP

Stefan, I'll mail out your card here some time this week. Finally have time to think and want to make sure I give you some choices.

Ha, cool. I wouldn't buy this brand but it puts me int he ballpark http://www.advantagetrailer.com/p.194/aluminum-4-place-inline-snowmobile-trailer.aspx 2355lbs + 600*4 = 4755lbs and considering my sleds dry are under 450lb and I only plan on 3 99% of the time I should be golden.

I haven't driven the new turbo chili and am pretty sure I'd like it better, but it will not be affordable. It makes the X5M feel like a pickup truck, okay not really, more like an Escalade. The ML63 is unrefined and all over the place in comparison. Completely outclassed in both speed and how it's delivered. The Cherokee is a cheaper ML. Pretty much same feel and hell almost the same interior. Sort of makes the ML an overpriced option albeit way better looking. Can't quite tow enough for my boat, but if we move by the time that I get a new car I will only need to tow from launch to house and not up North which is no biggie. Rated for 5k lbs. My boat is supposedly 3400lbs; however, when weighed on trailer it was closer to 6800lbs. That was full of gas and gear though so you can easily shave a few hundred off that for the winter and going 20mph versus 75 makes that a no problem for getting it in and out. I do have to figure out how big of a snowmobile trailer I am going to get and what it'll weigh as I don't want to be under for legal reasons if shit hits the fan.

Speaking of car dealerships I just drove an X6M for my lunch break. I have one word to say about it:

You should get the DC voltage conditioner for $11 too. In case you go headunitless you'll need it to prevent turn on pop. Also better for the unit anyways.

Almost. Get the advanced 4 way crossover. That allows independent crossovers on all four channels which is whay you need. And yes, dip switch to change. Note: this will give you no sub processing, but considering you only need a HP & LP the amp should have that.

My local Mazda dealer is the same way. Then again, much of the staff is supposedly a carry over from when it was a Maserati dealership. Mazda dealer here is pretty good as well. Amusingly though they are the Maserati dealer.

Lack of TP would be a terrible way to die. I'd start to follow suite with India to avoid it.

That and somewhat real hotsauce helps. Green super hot ftw....not that it's "super" hot.

Amusingly the only one I "like" is Taco John's. Everywhere else if I eat it makes me feel like shit.

No idea what it is either as it has to be "bombproof"
  15. Um, no. You have it backwards. UNTIL you have the box mocked up really accurately you shouldn't be shopping for drivers.

Yay, off to the garage to do some stain work on a desk expander thingee I built to make my stupid new desk fit.

Also could easily be that it shakes the ignition key and switch so much that it shuts the motor down. Gauges love the Xcon too, lol.

    Big 3 Question

Depends on your competence with terminating connections, zip ties, and insurance. There is only one reason that fuses exist and if you leave it to chance and push the percentages well then you've made your choice.

    Help with 18" Box

Which is COMPLETELY unrelated from my post. Again stop misapplying responses to other questions to your situation. Not what you should be concerned with atm.

    Welcome to the IHoP

So far both my guesses are now on the table. Stock electrical with only an addition of 2 batteries. At 2/3's full output (log taper pot) she played for 4 hours on 2 of the 3 batteries with no problems. Towards the end of the night my LED's were dimming a bit on bass notes but considering the throttling we were putting it through I think that is more than acceptable.

Driving the boat with the sub full bore is interesting. Shuts off the engine, lol.
  23. ///M5

    Welcome to the IHoP

In my boat the drivers seat needs to come out to get at the sub. And you need "special" tools to do so. I made sure of that when I put it back in. Same with the amps. Real unusual security screw extension required. Good luck. If they get stolen someone will do some serious damage to the fiberglass and boat interior which to me is better. I'd rather make a $10k claim than a $1k claim.

    Welcome to the IHoP

In the case of the ML it's cheaper because if I do it it's my time and if I bring it someplace work pays.

    Welcome to the IHoP

I only let people service when it's "cheaper" to do so.
