AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH! SIck of being an author. Just got done doing marketings job writing a teezer for the Automotive Testing Expo, an Editorial for the ATE magazine, a company profile and now I GET to start writing a presentation to lead a discussion group at the upcoming North American Finite Element conference which I'll use pieces of at the ATE and Auto Body Congress. Seriously not in my job description and gives me a headache. At least tomorrow and Monday are vacation!

That's what I did the past hour

Technical people are sometimes exuberant about sharing details and features. None of which are important to the customer. Only benefits are and to be a benefit that requires that it is something that the customer needs which requires asking questions before sharing benefits. That is very hard for a techy person to do. Hell that is hard for most of my sales people to do. Personally I don't get it as it is by far the easiest thing to do to make a sales call more comfy, but somehow that isn't understood across the board.

Yikes. Surprise visit from a bunch of Chrysler execs to our facility and I'm not there since I didn't know about it. Not the support crew I want there either
-
Yeah, well and differentiators in the world of 2.5" chinese sourced drivers is not so much either. "Amazing cooling" isn't a parameter that I'd call very quantitative nor something that would influence my purchase decision.

v12, 8500rpm redline, >600hp, a/c, modern "comfy" interior, what isn't there to like?

In your list I'd vote Gcons. And to clarify, there is no such thing as underpowering. You surely don't run full tilt all day everyday listening to test tones.

Yes. He's giving away my secrets though! Anyone who can take it to Morimoto is a king. I'd absolutely love to eat anything Morimoto feels like asking me to eat.

Just an FYI, this is seriously car audio 101. Considering your attitude a wee bit of searching might be in order and would net you better responses. The only douche in the thread is the one copping an attitude to rudimentary replies. As a reminder, you agreed to search before posting a thread on this forum. Perhaps you should keep your promise. It would definitely make your threads more useful not only to you but to others who end up searching and reading them.

Well the box is more important than the sub so it shouldn't be a surprise.

The stock speaker housings are not valid to use. Cheap floppy plastic is not a baffle.

Looking for a broad band tweeter or broadband to be used above 1Khz

What didn't you like about the highs on the Peerless and how were they mounted? How are you planning on mounting the full ranges if you get them this time? -
Simple put a mounting ring. Bolting speakers to the stock sheet metal is a TERRIBLE idea. Installation 101. It isn't an install if you slap them into the stock locations. I'd also say it isn't an install if you aren't deadening and fixing the issues with the door. Of course I don't consider piss poor an option.

Call it adaptation. Spend 10+ hr days in a military vehicle fighting sleep from the low toned but loud hum of the engine, and anything is comfortable. Not to mention I can sleep in places and positions that would break most people. J There is the parallel to Japan. Those fuckers can sleep standing up on a train. Fucking nuts.

The Germans don't have that problem. Actually even when I was smaller I thought Toy seats were uncomfortable. Better than Honduh seats but not by that much. Padding is in all the wrong places and there is absolutely no lower leg support. Add being tall and you are effed.

How to cut out the inner circle of a small ring
///M5 replied to edouble101's topic in Technical Info & How To's
Was going to post exactly the same, but you beat me to it. WAY easier. Add respirator to that list. If I'm cutting MDF I always wear plugs, muffs, turn on the vac and wear a respirator. -
I know It's hard to picture but the more I think about it the more I'm thinking keep the tan. I'd say black as well, but wouldn't keep EVERYTHING else the same. Just a couple pieces to make it look like it was done more on purpose.

Time for the monster mash! HBD

You should ALWAYS use a baffle.
