    Welcome to the IHoP

    Yikes, wtf?
  2. Funny thing is you are comparing your FTW sound with a sampling size of one or only exposure to things not done well. That or you have no ear. And making it funnier everyone you are trying to refer to either is running pro audio gear or has run plenty in the past. Strategy and implementation should follow needs and compromises be chosen instead of being a bad side effect of not knowing.

  7. The problem is nothing does....and those look more than 15 degrees which alone could make a significant difference on the top end. Installation is everything and you wanted more, just trying to quantify to make sure that I lead you the right way.

    This work?

And if you meant CCF that will only help with rattles. Doesn't really do jack other than prevent two things that would normally rub against each other from not being able to. Basically packing material.

To block sound you need mass, that has almost no mass. Terrible sound barrier. To stop vibration you need a medium to absorb the energy. Being that won't be coupled it's a terrible vibration "mat". Will it block heat? That sure the fuck won't help sound...

Yes, but also how long you cook it also determines it. Trust me, we played around with cooking times a ton. Everytime we cooked it 5-10 minutes less it was MUCH hotter. Only if your idea of cooking is cooking the shit out of. Perhaps you are confusing dispersed heat with reduced. Localized is more painful, but that isn't less heat. The melting point of the "heat" in chili's is somewhere near 150F, but the point where it boils off and heat would actually be reduced is beyond burning temperature into the 400's. Unless you are getting it that high and have a place for the "steam" to go the temperature is just being evened out across the pepper and not reduced.

I made Udon in fresh daishi with tempura.
  12. Pods look super off axis in the picture which would explain things. If that is a visual that is wrong then you are one that may want a tweeter.

How you trim the pepper before stuffing will determine how hot they are.

If you put it all into car audio you'll feel like crap later. Never a good idea IMO to remove a toy and replace it with something you can't easily flip for similar value. Hard to get ahead with that behavior. Doesn't mean I wouldn't take something less nice or just save it for when I'm sure.
  20. I wouldn't recommend buying a component set and using the top half with the Mach 5. The Mach 5 is a potent driver, but there is a compromise that EVERY component set has. They always skimp on the tweeter requiring a rather high crossover point. The Mach 5 won't do well with that. In your case, I'd instead look for a 4 chn amp (and not pay new Sundown prices since you are in budget mode) and a comp set that you can bi-amp. This way you can use the passive that came with the set and compare to the settings on a 4chn amp active. Does your headunit do a HP? It should. Most amps won't bandpass which means you get one HP and one LP which also wouldn't work with the Mach 5 and tweet idea either. Even better would be to get a proc first. Amp crossovers are bandaids and for speaker protection IMO, not much else. Although I'd still prefer a raw gain block for an amp. Learn with something off the shelf, then replace it piecemeal and sell the comps you bought.
  21. Easier for sure and usually easier nets better, but considering he isn't alone I thought I'd point that out.

    Silverado help

A pair of 12's won't fit sealed...unless a seriously cramped box is okay or a huge seat lift is used. Even 2cuft gross is not trivial although another cuft can be found with clever use of fiberglass.
