This is kinda against the rules, Sorry but need help....
///M5 replied to Shogen's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Thread exemplifies why the rules are written like they are. Neither of those tweeters are logical choices for you. Has nothing to do with your "wide" selection of tracks there either. -
And just to be clear, by annoyances I was talking completely about fit, finish, ergonomics and feel before. Reliability is another game. Of course, the flip side of my M cars was my Silverado which was hands down the most expensive car to maintain I've ever owned.

I guess it is all really a perspective thing. I look at the vehicles everyone here thinks are so great and I think "what a pile of shit". But I get to work on these cars. I see them with hundreds of thousands of miles on them, and I see the associated repair bills and maintenance costs. I see how they hold up, how well they are really engineered, and how those "cheap looking" plastic interiors hold up when compared to their wrapped brethren. I drive all Buick cars, and Nissan trucks. I don't want the high costs associated with bullshit cars that look pretty, but are substantive crap. I don't want to have to come home only to fix my cars, and if I have to, I want it to be easy. [/rant] The wrapped cars require some pre-thought before purchase. The cheapest 2 cars I've ever owned for maintenance were both M type BMW's. And of course right now I get to drive something work leases for me and picks up the service. I only pay for repairs & tires, but the certified bumper to bumper takes care of everything but the tires. As for the substantive crap, I'm curious what tops your list.

Gal Tab 7.0 2, WiFi only version. Tethering ftw.

Hmm, that is sort of like putting it in my phone (which is where it i sright now) Could try the SLR.

More and fast is okay, if it's too much I'll get a new laptop. This is my work machine. Although if I get a new one I'll probably get a disposable. No more spending $3k on a pc. Will miss the docking station though.

7.0 2 which is newer so that shouldn't be a problem. Thanks. If not, I guess I'll get a new phone. Lol

So. Tablet takes microSD cards. Samsung says support to 32gb. 64gb have the same form factor....but a different file system. Tab also has a USB port. USB port only supports 32gb. I formatted my big ass external into Fat and BAM, external USB port reads it. Any reason I can't format a 64gb chip and think it won't work in the tab itself?

Searched for any local shops? Wasn't really sure what to look for/too lazy to arbitrarily pull out the yellow pages. Thought maybe there was a better way.

That's the plan once I get some bearing on everything. Wondering if the rem out rated for 100ma will be enough for the minidsp, and two amps. Mine does two minidsp's and 3 amps.

Custom biquads are sweet if something unusual pops up. Actually using a couple to taper the response of the JL comps on my boat. Way too hot in the highs and too hot in the upper mid. 10 minutes of dinking around and BAM fixed. Almost want to run one just as an eq in between my music player and the car stereo. A few things I'd alter on the Benz, but it isn't so bad.

I took next week off so I don't "need" it.

My Dells I've always just conquered myself, but after pulling more than 30 screws and seeing the next friction fit stuff I backed off.

How do you find a laptop repair place. My Lenovo needs a new proc fan and the electrical connectors for the display are lose so I get deadlines that I can "fold/push" back into working.

Should have seen the Opel's before GM ruined them. In their time they were as nice as any German manufacture, then the GM cheapen it up owners came along and ruined them. Not surprisingly when left to their own who comes back and smartens up first.

And Stefan, pm me your addy. Today I found your chip which means it was empty. Sorry. Full now. Good sampling, by no means comprehensive. I'm sure you'll hate some of it and like others. Hard to know what though. Not so amusingly I couldn't format the second card. Perhaps I am computer illiterate, but no idea. Conveniently I had one the same size in my phone and I am going to upgrade it. Sending you mine.

In Corvette's I like the 68. I actually had good luck with my 76 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham as well, but I only paid $10 and drove it nearly 30k miles without fixing anything but rusty metal. I have a soft spot for GTO's, for a while I really wanted a GN, thought about a 2nd Gen C/K, and there are a few others. I am actually not super brand loyal, but rather particular. After driving my Gal for a few hundred thousand miles and comparing it comfort wise to so many other cars it soured me. Obviously more recently I've become even more picky. If they had not scrapped the Trailblazer SS and updated the interior like they did in the Buick, it'd probably be my next car. The lack of a v8 or any real power though scraps ever non-GMC/Cadillac truck and since they drive like shit they are out to.

Steve sells the DD-1. Basically everything he does is to rip you off. Our Steve...not that dip shit. I was referring to the box size specs that Steve has on the SMD. Thought you meant Steve Mead was running an SMD, lol. Hopefully that is clear now.

Wait, what? Why? Not enough umph? It didn't do anything right. If I wanted boring and fast, I'd buy a 300ZX or a mid-90's Supra. Both are WAY more fun to drive than the NSX. Then you add a crap interior and it was a joke. Was so frustrated I went out and drove a Corvette afterwards which bested it in every way....and I despise the Corvette. Is it all Corvettes that you despise or just the newer ones? And why the dislike? J I was referring to the C5 which I drove at that time. Not sure what's to like. Classic GM shit. Interior is terrible, ergonomics are terrible, it drives like a pickup truck (albeit on rails comparatively), loud, uncomfortable, looks like a chicks car, and of course the average owner has a few screws loose. Take your Firebird. There are some things that bug you about it I'm sure. Not so amusingly those things still existed in the C5 Corvette. The 6 was a bit better, but nothing so exciting. Bang for the buck it wouldn't get my money. There are certainly issues with the Firebird. Right now its the paint, the desire for a bit more 'get up and go', the doors, and door panels or lack thereof. J Not at all what I meant by issues. I was referring to things you think are not right or could be better. My list gets huge in a GM and not so much so in other cars.

Mounted to a piece of 1/4" ply and bolted upside down under the dash on the boat. I sort of figured an enclosure would just up the moisture exposure.

Wait, what? Why? Not enough umph? It doesn't make power until over 6000 or so. It's powerband is awful. It is beautiful to look at but not much else IMO. IMO the Elise I worked on was lacking off the line too, but it is so small and light, and the engine revved so fast it was still fun. I liked it better with the turbo on it when the thing wasn't falling on it's face. I wish that it was fixable as it was rather than having to go back to stock with it. The drawback was that the piggybacked brain took the VVT out of it. So while it was much more fun on the bottom end with the turbo, the VVT made it a badass up top without the turbo. Neither of you guys would like my car then. Power is all at the top and it's still not all that much, but the interior is nice. My M5 was similar. Needed rev's to drive. I have no issue with that. No amount of boost will save the NSX.
