What meat do you actually get? Seriously I've had pretty unedible experiences, but as I said haven't been to the one here so it's possible we aren't screwing it up as bad.

best amp for the money?
///M5 replied to TreezNSteez's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Best, you can't afford. Best value isn't new. -
What if the bonito or kombu are in there??? What happens? Is it like the LHC and dragons and black holes will come out? Gets bitter and smells funny. Doesn't mean your palate won't like it, but there is a lot of subtlety in Japanese food. I wonder if I could tell. The water for the kombu *just* started a fine boil today. I mean just. And I could not taste the difference for my miso. I am sure the kombu didnt reach the boiling temp as it was out of the water as soon as can be. But I was just curious. I did read that you shouldnt let the miso boil or it will kill the healthy bacteria I it. The kombu is more of a fragrance change than flavor. Although of course you know how closely they are related. Having a nose cold though I don't think you'd notice.

I've never been to the one here. Love the salad bar. It is good. And they finally started getting the meat bloody. My rib eye was a ruby jewel of flavor. Tomorrow I may drag her to Manny's though. I am craving their bourbon bread pudding. Ha, you caught the poke in my remark. I've never had any meat there I want to eat again...

Took me forever to find the security building there to do the same.

Once the kombu and bonito are out you can surely boil it.

What do I need to run a 3000watt amp
///M5 replied to DubstepSanta's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
And more importantly, to answer your topic title: What do I need to run a 3000watt amp A need for one. You don't. Yields the same answer as above. -

By far the best bit of advice in this thread. I'd add to it to sell your sub and buy one that will actually perform in the box size that you have. And YES it will be louder and cost less. -
There is no daylight in CA it seems

Ha, that picture is as "good" as Aaron's.

Saw that side by side last week. Even though the first time I sat in a 458 I thought it was it, the situation fixed my misconception. What Lamborghini was it next to? That was not what I thought you'd request

Tanner puked like hell last night

I am not a woman. And of course had forgotten that you were sick

And please no one go buy the drivers I "suggested" and randomly put them in your locations and expect gold. It was exclusively an option that would seriously destroy the set above. You should still have your locations and installation compromises thought of before shopping for drivers. And of course there are tons of choices depending. I actually could have even saved more money on drivers, but I'm a midbass nut.

My goal wasn't to ruin the moment, but save you some money. This would absolutely makes those look like serious POS. Peerless SLS 8 $130/pr Aura NS3 $25/pr Dayton ND20 $30/pr 2 miniDSP $234 (with plug ins, isolator and volume knob) Total: $419 + shipping leaving you $80 for a Line Driver so you don't even need a headunit anymore. Okay, you still need to buy more amp channels, but the $80 goes a long ways in doing that. And yes, this has the potential to seriously make that HiVi set sound like its from Kmart.
-
Crap, I left out the good. More importantly your whole setup is a mess. Time for a step back to the drawing board.

10" and 12" drivers are NOT midranges. All that I thought I needed to post until I read the rest of your thread. You SERIOUSLY need to start completely over. What you have will not at all work together.
-
Passive and three way in general is a mess. Of course the exception being if you place the drivers all on one baffle, but then the use of a 2" midrange is idiotic. Personally I don't like the cross points, the crossover, and the lie in marketing (German crafted midrange with a chinese sticker on the back of it, lol). The Lpad integration alone is scary, I can't imagine what other wonders are hiding under that plastic case. Add to that the use of "marketing" materials in the design and it's of dubious quality at best. The added cost of Kevlar here with no added benefit makes no sense. Of course it worked in that it made you guys say the look "good" or "nice". I've also never heard a HiVi tweeter I want to hear again. Not a good thing IMO. I do understand their goals though. The only HiVi driver I've heard that was enjoyable was their 2" mid. Changing that design to shrink it and then apply it to use in something is a great idea. This just isn't how I'd implement it at all.

If you listened to better music that wouldn't happen

Has an SMD boner and knows very little most likely. The funny thing is, no one has yet to EVER offer an actual use for it. Really great marketing from someone whose only interest is in profiting from noobs.
