Budget? Do you need a PA option for talking to your rider? Sadly I just put my surfboard and wakeboards up in the attic of the garage Towed the BU up to the farm this weekend....amusingly through snow
-
You've only dealt with a small cross section then.
-
I didn't say that some didn't, I said most doesn't which IS true. The category the OP may listen to might, but as a general statement it really isn't the case. This of course could also be why he feels his current setup is not providing enough bass....hard to tell without more details, but it screamed out to me. Thread states, wantz mo bass. OP states, I listen to music that is generally known as not so bass heavy. Hmmm...
-
You don't want SQ. Not even close or the rest of your post doesn't say so anyways. Also curious why you are fixated on subs as most hispanic music doesn't even really have bass. If it is truly a pick one of two question, then I'd run the Zcon.

If you can't huff it...

That'll depend on your car, the reflections, the installation, the processing, the frequency range, your preferences and a bunch. Last time I aimed some I tried a ton of aiming options.

mmmmmmmmmmmm fish sauce

Make sure to play with mounting angles. They will NOT sound nice on axis...

Type R's are terrible in sealed enclosures

You've got it backwards. Fix the muddiness first then think about amps.
-
There are hundreds of amps that I'd deem worthwhile. If you can't do a search and determine any others then fine. As for the muddyness, perhaps a better definition and description would help us help you....but it isn't the amp. Amps just make whatever you tell them to do louder. If it does something else, well then you told it what to do incorrectly. I am pretty sure that my definition of muddiness and yours are different. And seriously this is a sub. At sub frequencies you'd probably have difficulties discerning 10% distortion.

Is there any zone controller or what other equipment do you have on the boat? Any possibility to return the speakers? For the towers they won't be anywhere near enough if you want to ride a 70' rope and hear tunes.
-
In my boat I get away with 3 amps. Could actually do it with 2 if I weren't running active.
-
You need a zone controller IMO. It'd drive me nuts in my Wakesetter if I didn't have one. I didn't buy one though, built it from passive volume knobs. Zones I feel are "necessary": Sub Level In Boats Tower Having any other mix of volume isn't so great. Curious if you already bought the gear or not. Lots of cost effective ways to make boats loud. Beware of boat forums as they usually get hung up on things of dubious value. Nice boat btw. Would have made my list of potentials, but I need as much people space as possible that'll fit in a 24' slip. The 23 LSV is a wee bit too long for the slip, but they haven't noticed.

The muddyness isn't the amp, but the way you have it setup. As for what amps, there are tons to choose from. I'll never run either of the ones you are looking at and if they were both such a good deal it's easy to sell them both and buy something better.
-
I'm dumbfounded. Can't believe that you think your setup is even acceptable, more or less listenable. Obviously you do otherwise you wouldn't have posted this. Have you ever actually listened to a "real" stereo or just the FL style yikes-so stuff?

Photoshopped butt if It's the same chick ? I MUCH MUCH prefer the bottom.
-
Winterized the boat? Towed it through the SNOW to put it in storage.
-
I've seen white flakes 4 times already. Northern MN got 12" at one point. I'm sure as fuck hoping we get dumped on. I'd like all of our snow and ALL of Indiana's as well. That solves two problems.
-
Only thing that would make it okay is if we get snow AFTER I finish the drive
-
Boats attached to the Benz to go off to storage.
-
Absolutely no problem. Real common implementation in fact.
-
Sell them both and buy a real amp.
