Define "work"

You need weatherpack connectors. I can't get to the mating connector to change it without swearing for a good 45 minutes as it means yanking the gas tank and seat. Next year when I mod the tunnel I'll do it, but for now I am going to use the stock connector.

I thought you just got the biggest baddest one Snap-On made? Indeed. wtf?

Hell, actually I was far from that budget limit on my boat and I still didn't use a headunit.
-
If I only had $500 for a system I wouldn't buy a headunit but just use a volume knob and my media player.

Only 6". The aluminum bar in the background I'll cut down and mount them to so I can screw it onto the gas tank rack. Will fit in the little airhole in the plastic "bridge" for teh gas can.

Doesn't exist, although I expect my idea of "balance out" and yours are different. Think about it, it is by far the easiest to get a sub loud than anything else. Why would you then think you can take 80% of your budget and put it in your sub/s and have things balance out? They aren't blown away by the crappy 12's, but by the lack of front stage. Rears are useless. CDT's aren't your solution either. Step one is to pick your compromise so far I don't know what that is. Then google search the forum 2ohms is a negative on front stage speakers, not a positive. You will indeed get more out of your amp, but that doesn't relate to output. If you want good midbass you are going to need more budget and to run active. Unless you are willing to pull your stage back and have the subs help in that portion of the frequency range.

I had my ears cleaned yesterday with an otoscope and got to watch. It was gross. Ordered some killer earplugs though. >30dB reduction and comfortable. Custom made for your ears? Yep. I would love to have a pair myself, but this company is too damn cheap. They start at $45. Mine were $80, but I got soft ones that basically block everything out for sleeping. Considering you hear NOTHING but your sled when you ride I'll use them for that too.

Imagine that, lowest gas price in a LONG time was on election day.

Nothing is wrong with a super tweeter, but they make no sense in a car. If you were running them in a 4 way + then I could see it, but mixed with a pseudo pro audio mid you are going to have one hell of a big empty spot. You need to choose your compromise. Getting loud up high isn't the problem. It's midbass and midrange you have to work on. The mids you chose won't do both either. If you run them together you are stuck with huge holes. Oh, the Skar's are a bigger joke. Way!

LG Quad core is almost out. G3 >> Iphone. Razr Maxx looks sweet too. New Galaxy Note may be too big, but is tempting.
