Way better resolution.
-
No, fundamentally the afm arm is the same but improved resolution over teh beam bounce.
-
Ok, that makes more sense. Not at all like a DVD player, but yes a laser. Doppler vibrometer is required for the necessary resolution. As for "basic" that portion is >$40k.
-
What do you mean by "basic optical"?
-
I don't work with the results, but the equipment that enables them. Amusingly all done with vibration

All of the DNA mapping AFM's on the market have had some of my engineering work done on them...
-
I've worked on tons of classifieds projects run by crazies though and none of them are close to tickling material reconstruction in that domain. First we need to master 3D printing of materials that aren't just plastic and metal. Will be tons of medical leaps in tech before a teleportation tech can exist. Fundamentally to move matter you have to take it apart and put it together again. Means you could take apart your cells and rebuild them without cancer for instance.
-
Smart phones were just miniaturization of already established tech. Need an evolution here.
-
I work with those crazies every day.

I wish. Takes to long to get to Europe.
-
Ha, I am on my 5th beer. Lunch, Saturday, flight to Europe. Fuck it.

Most people think it looks clean, but they don't know what clean is. You do.

Cluck chips. Love it.

Get your chicken skin here! $3 a bite. Mmmm.
-
Yep, I don't like chicken but I do like the skin. Hmmm.
-
I want more chicken skin....but that is no surprise. Damn butcher shops are lazy these days. Sell boneless skinless and I asked to buy the skin and the response was we buy them that way. Fuck you. Chicken chips ftw.

My sous vide wand took a shit so I pan roasted some crispy skin chicken thighs with a quick mediterranean rub, they had fresh ramps so I made some ramp risotto and some hydroponic grape tomatoes in a quick caprese and holy shit was it good.

Won't be the only use for it though...and I am working on a trailer location that will require going off road which makes the winch thing not work well.
-
I also HAVE to put my trailer in the garage. It is currently 1/4" lower than my garage and maybe 3" on each side...it sure looks like 1", but my trailer is legal limit and my garage normal so it "should" be 3. Either way, not using the truck for that clearance...in particular when I have shit on the walls. Currently I have an ATV winch on the wall that pulls the trailer in tongue first. I push it out by hand. My driveway is steep so coming in is not possible alone.
