If that scales down, I'm doing some renting. I've seen L 300's rent for $150/day.

Day it comes out I'm standing in line.

Expect ISO 25600 on the upcoming 70d/7dm2. That with a big sensor and some real glass outta rip.

I have completely learned how to cheat with lenses and do more with less. My new 18-135 is fucking perfect for what I do. Even weddings that I shoot. Now, if I did more portraits or sports shooting, I think I wouldn't mind a few wide primes or mega zooms. I found a place that rents the ultra spendy zooms for cheeeeeeeeep for a day. I feel empowered. How cheap? ...and for what? Would assume you playing in the Canon world that it'd be an L...

]I use(d) Orb which is an online service.. When I used it, it was free and worked pretty well.. You could access it on your PS3, Android, PC, Whatevs. I'll check it out, thanks. Are you trying to do this remotely or in your wireless space? ie, cloud or your own storage. If it is your own I'd bet the Squeeze suite has an app for that. Haven't looked as I just use the Droid to control my Squeezebox and volume in any room in the house. On the road I carry 128gb of music that I've stripped my collection down to but that is a pretty reasonable amount. Room A = PC with music files. Want to be in room B, and listen to music from my android phone. I've been swapping music around on the microsd card on the phone, but it's becoming a PITA due to the usb cable continually cutting out (which is weird since I've never ever had that happen). Perhaps it would be easier to just buy a 32gb microsd card. Is your Droid the source or the control (or both)? Can you run a direct wire?

Can't beat it for $60

Got a feedback destroyer yesterday. Christmas present to me from me.

If you "need" a walk around lens the Canon 24-105mm f/4L with USM can be had for around $800 used. Better on a full frame obviously but it is overkill in all the right areas.

Not wanting to change a lens and $1000 does not equal a new camera in the DSLR class IMO. Everything you get advantage wise in an SLR you give up by doing that. If you don't bother to invest in the glass, don't bother with the camera. There's a huge reason that a 10 year old DSLR that has less MP than your phone takes WAY better pictures. It sure the hell isn't that the digital processing is better in the ancient camera either. It's ALL in the lenses. If I really wanted a DSLR and only had $1000. I'd seriously think about what I was shooting and buy a used setup. Most likely spending $7-800 of it on the lens. For example, in the Canon world that would be a 40d. If you are lucky you can grab a use 430 flash and whatever glass is for your general use with the leftovers. Guaranteed that it will take pictures that are way better than your skill or anything else you are looking at. Bonus is you can flip it for nearly no loss if you realize you bit off more than you can chew.

Great amp, nowhere worth that, power hog as well. In particular silly considering how a similar 100w per channel costs and that audibly it doesn't buy you much more. If you can deal with fan noise there are WAY, WAY more cost effective options if you need that power.

I'm slow, but I wanted to socialize a bit. If I were hired I could have probably cut it in half. Easily if I had a dedicated dish bitch.

And of course I have a trip schedule for the 27-28th, was thinking of leaving on the 26th early. FUCK.

Speaking of Fuck you moments. Went up to the BILs farm yesterday. Stopped to grab the snowmobile trailer. Was going to ride the last 40 miles on the sled and let the W take the car. Pop open the trailer and I am almost out of gas...funny thing is when I parked her there was nearly 12gal in the tank. Now there was 5 on the floor of the trailer. Float needle is in the fuck Sean position obviously. Crankcase is full of gas, pipe is full of gas, underhood is soaked and the trailer bed is a fire waiting to happen. Time to up the insurance, lol. Guess who is doing what on the 26th?
-
Sean should add the quote to his sig. Already did

When you are ready, holler and I'll post it with very clear instructions as any deviation will destroy it.

And please note, I never said what you made isn't fucking yummy.

Brown sugar, karo, sweeten condensed, and a splash of vanilla at the end. I think that is it. Hmm. What temp do you take it to. Go through both cracks? 247 is how high we take it. Hmm. I assume you add the sweeten condensed before stirring then. Everything in the pot, stir, vanilla right at the end. I'm really curious about yours now. People always rave that ours are the best they ever had..... I would love to taste the difference. Explains your low temp. You aren't naturally converting all the solids without taking it well above 300F, but you can't if you put everything in together. The difference will be subtle and all in the feel. Obviously since you are using sugared milk and molasses in your sugar yours will have a different taste too but that could be added along with the cream after caramelizing the sugars. I hate to even be more of an ass, but yours isn't actually caramel but molasses flavored liquified and then congealed sugar. Make your own recipe once with white sugar and then you'll understand. Carmelization is the browning of sugar. At 250F there is no browning. All the "caramel" flavor you are acquiring is due to the sweetener in the can and the molasses in the sugar.

I also even cheat a bit and add a light half tsp of cream of tartar to help further keep the crystalizing at bay.
