So you have 2 D1's and you want to switch them over to D2's? Or are you looking for 4 D2's and want to get rid of your 2 D1's?

You got pics? I'd like to see that! I mean he likes the bass and he thinks the 2 10 Es sounded pretty good, but too me ehh no lol. I was just thinking something like vvme's would be good since they're cheap and not really going to be pushed hard at all. I think this in a custom box would do very well for him and be good enough for me. Sorry, no pics of the boat setup will be posted. It's protected by an alarm, but obviously no steel/glass so details aren't going on the web. Wouldn't matter anyways as all you'd see is a flat wall of the box right where your feet go to. Basically I gutted the space under the helm and built a box to fit in the nook and crannies. It is slightly smaller than recommended, but barely. Woofer fires at the side of the hull as this buys you both stealth and a little natural bass boost. Makes nice waves too.

Doing what you did is exactly what pro fisherman do to wally world batteries to get free replacements every year.
-
Of course that could just be ECU and other things related to the car. Not sure what car or what it'll do when "off".
-
My boat batteries sit for 6 months in the frozen tundra under a tarp and have ALWAYS started my boat come spring without a charger. You have parasitic draw somewhere in your vehicle that pulled them down. I'd bet money on it.

You are going to have a huge gap. If you haven't bought the Sundown's and really need the supertweet output you should look for more dedicated midranges and midbasses independently. Of course it would be cheaper, easier, sound better and be louder to just use a horn setup.

Ding, ding, ding I know Quentin pointed out that is exactly what I said, but I thought I'd highlight it. It is EXACTLY what we would have recommended for you although designing it backwards I wouldn't recommend. Could easily improve your results with a forward design. Why don't we do this the other way. I gave the reason and a half where it fits as an enclosure. We can sure use this thread to discuss where else someone thinks it fits in car audio. Outside of car audio there are plenty of reasons, but the name of the enclosure describes those perfectly. Within a car your application is the good one, the rest I've seen are based on misconceptions and limited levels of experience.

I've got a 15" Xcon ported under the console in my ski boat. Just took some clever cutting

What are you mating the FT1 with?

Cone area is king in a boat as you don't have the benefit of cabin gain. Go big!

I get funnier looks when the ML is sideways than when in the 5.
-
Guys a fucking spaz, that car is way more composed than that normally. Mine was sideways plenty but not so herky jerky nor in situations in that close to other cars.
-
Ugh, we don't have shit. It's killing me for the 2nd year in a row to hear you all getting white love and us not getting any.

Well mine sucked donkey dick

that is closer to reality

I rarely took a class where I didn't skip the first day.

Speaking of keys, I need to order a part from Digikey and while at it would like to order a female/male connector to extend a switch on the sled. Currently for an SPDT there is a Cole Hersee 58027-03 http://www.colehersee.com/home/item/cat/10/58027-03/ Looks like a rather standard pinout/connector. I need to move it about 8" away so I'd love an extension cable and am willing to make one. I know I "could" cut, solder and move the current one but there are many wires going into each terminal and considering they are color coded just extending it sounds easier. I have no idea how to look for that connector though although I expect that it is really just a standard XXXX
