All the cabinets in my house are white, but having painted surfaces where there is wear and tear isn't great. The "wood" will be stained ply.

My next project. When you enter from the garage there is an entryway. To the left is my kitchen, to the right my laundry room. In the laundry room there is a closet with bifold doors. I threw the doors away, cut out the walls as much as possible (electric inside) without being ridiculous and am going to do some built in cubby storage/bench to put on shoes. First shot showing the shelving on the right to hide my wives shoes. *as a reference for size, the partial walls/supports on the bench are 12" and the overall bench is a hair under 24" deep. Should be plenty to sit on. We also need to hide a broom and stuff so on the other side I am putting a door: Curious if anyone has any feedback or suggestions. Drawer and door styles may change, but for the sake of sketchup I thought that was the easiest.

A 12 footer is HUGE! The Gcon bang for the buck is pretty hard to beat. Ultra optimized for it's positioning IMO.

The best part of that truck is the doors midbass response. They almost cheat. You'd lose that with those "pods"

"sound good" is SUPER relative, I've heard plenty of things that sound good behind stock panels. Of course, the higher in freq it plays the more fighting you'll have with your staging. I'd always choose FR first and staging after, but everything in a car is a compromise. Pics are worth a thousand words.

Afraid of honking as I've never used a small horn like that and of course would like to play low if possible being each one will be mated to a pair of 8 or 10" midbasses. Cosmetically an MTM was what I was shooting for, but my ports are too big so it'll be off center and towards one of the mids. Acoustic mess I know, but the listening stage will be 50-75' back. Mounting them on the wakeboard tower of the boat.

And by some, I mean all.

GN gone? Being replaced? Some of us are interested in a vicarious sort of way.

They had some good tweets that were all the rage 10 years ago. Never heard any of their other offerings. For a 10" they dig pretty deep in a smallish enclosure (.55cuft) which is give or take the amount of space I can dig up. Now I need the smallest footprint (in height) possible horn for a compression driver. Need long throw, NOT wide angle. Was initially going to put it in a box, but I think the tube to match the woofers may be the ticket.

Ah. Don't feel bad. It's a personal preference. I know while I love driving it I think I could have more fun in something else. J Or a definition. Seems strange to me that your go fast car is slower than your pickup truck.

I meant I felt bad for ribbing you on the bird and was done. Not my "cup of tea"

Those are stupid. You can mount exactly the same things for FREE behind the stock grill. I cut the edges on mine and a 7" driver on a >1" baffle was no problem. Allowed me to deaden the door and seal off the back wave as well. Looks 100% stock as well which is always a bonus if the alternative is something not great looking. NBS = new body style, versus OBS = old body style. How those trucks were referred to when they came out.

Pretty much has the potential to be Chevrolet's best looking truck from ANY year.

The 442 is the only one that can be considered a muscle car. The Nova was always a semi-compact. People just happened to get them cheap and pop in a decent engine. The Gremlin, shit I don't know where to go with this, but you really consider a Gremlin a muscle car? It's a compact might even be a sub.I'd consider the Randall 401 Gremlin a muscle car or anything from the 60-70's that runs in the 13's.

Gee, thanks RYan. Anyone ever used Max Fidelity? How you think that cone would like rain.. https://solen.ca/pdf/max/pr1066.pdf

I'm done being nice. Sorry J.

You should quit drinking

Seriously? Compared to what it is replacing I'd agree. Throw a custom chassis under it and let her rip. Lol.

Has the bird been fun? Do you have an affinity for the undesirable?

One of our professors has taken to Fed-Ex'ing a Storm case with a 50kip loadcell, indicator, and LVDT checker/micrometer stem assembly. I'm waiting for it to come in with a hole through it. It weighs 35lbs and he doesn't want to check it or carry on to planes. LVDT will bind and one of the legs of the bridge will be stressed. Being a 50k it'll survive hell and back.

Damnit, wives birthday is in 8 days and I need to get her a phone. Not sure which color S3 she'd prefer and there are only white ones used on Swappa atm. *for Verizon as I had planned on doing the pagepluscellular

Fuck we've broken EVERY part of a Pelican case. Hell, just Fedex it once.

And again, EXACT mounting locations and aiming play a role in selection. Not a little role either. The more you share the easier it is for us to help.

Read Zaph's reviews. While my ears don't always agree, the measurements you can't argue with. Starting with something easier to use is generally a good idea.
