Sub Choices along with everything else when buying new products help
///M5 replied to Dexter Chaos's topic in General Fi
?????? You ask questions with no information on what or why you want to do something. What you ask will lead you down the wrong path. ALWAYS start with a description of your goals, budget, potential box size, etc. Helps to type in sentences and English that is easy to read. All the ???? just makes you look lost and makes no one want to respond, this is compounded by the lack of information you shared. -
The sub wasn't peaky, it was the box you designed. Stop blaming a woofer for doing what you told it to do. I'm not recommending everyone go out and buy Kicker gear, but they fit a niche and what they do they actually do pretty well. All the anti-hype is misplaced based on poor information and installation. How easy you all forget that installation is MORE important than the equipment.

And btw, had NO idea how small the ecoboost turbos were. Cute is the right word, lol. Amazing little beasts though

Huh every sub I've heard from kicker including this one has been about the bass quality coming dual. dual subs might actually have better SQ Ive heard quite a few of them, never heard any of the 15s though. Might be shitty setups though, not sure. Ill keep a lookout. Anybody know about polks sub line? Ive heard fairly good things about them. kicker subs >> Polk.Any shifty setup will sound shitty. Dont blame the brand blame the owner

I don't know if you have it there but over here we make soup out of the stomach. we don't but the Mexicans here do

Then you shouldn't start shopping until Tuesday. May be one of the stupidest conclusions you could draw.

Define "easily mounted" Just ribbing you. Didn't you have a tweet problem a few years back?
-
Nah, I flew in yesterday. Short visit in Charlotte. Tomorrow doing consulting at Borg Warner and then a flight home.

The sous chef's need a lesson on seasoning, but the head chef did a great job.

Ate at the Admiral. Worth a stop. Had narrowed it down to there or Bouchon's.

Home audio sub built into sectional couch *idea*

Lord, Jon how the hell do you keep blowing tweeters? Get some horns already!
-
Being that you've weakened it with resin I wouldn't recommend anyone I know even pay for it. See your local CL. That is what you'll get.

It's a sub. That is what it is supposed to do. I LP my sub in my truck at 45Hz. Preferably anything higher is from your midbass. As for is it correct, only if you input all the correct information and then yes it is pretty damn accurate. This of course requires that you measure your cabin gain and adjust appropriately.

Stock tweeter location blows. Curious on your mid size restrictions as well...and if you are willing to glass pillars for the tweets.

No stomach either

Nope, wouldn't have ordered it then. Ate some home made pickles, but from fruit.

And yes, I'm ignoring exceptions like New Orleans from my description. Meal I had was better than ANY restaurant in Shitlanta though.
-
I didn't have tripe tonight, almost did Mexican but went for the gastropub experience instead. First real meal I've had in the South. Amazing how shitty the restaurants are in general. Had no idea Asheville had culture, but I'm happy.

The only thing surprising is that you are surprised. Kicker has made a ton of stuff worth owning. I have some of their comps and an 12" L7 and they perform quite well. Not currently in a vehicle, most recently in a boat, but with space for a 15 I am running an Xcon now.

And the best part is the boss will be more than happy to sign my receipt and pay.

$130 worth

I had American food tonight.

ANY other crab shack would be better. Joe's is horseshit. They can fuck up anything.Never been there, but read great reviews on it. Joe's in Daytona was good, the wife was not with me on that trip. Thanks for the info, but thats where she wants to go ... Suit yourself. I eat out for a living pretty much. Absolutely the worst crab shack I've ever been to. Tried a couple Joe's (not by my choice) with always the same results. Even if you live in bum fuck nowhere there has to be a better choice. Not only do you have to eat out for 80% of your meals, you don't have to expense cheap restaurants either, you can get the good stuff. Had beef tongue, sweetbreads, tartare, & grouper for dinner tonight. YUMMY
