    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

That requires an investment on my part so it won't happen. Neither will two cars until I move. Has to be a single choice. Also eliminated anything that causes me to pay anything out of pocket but that is on principle

If they actually sold the V12 Diesel Q7 here I might lean that way.

Asus/i3/EVGAWhy does he need a video card? If he doesn't game a little better MoBo and nice i5 would be a better choice IMHO. never bought an integrated before....scares me. If it is really the solution tho its okay. He's got a huge power suppltAll the new intels have an integrated video card on the processor die. Unless he is gaming or doing some extremely serious editing frequently, it won't be a problem. Asus happens to also have some neat helper firmware/software that can take advantage of those chipsets. My current asus actually runs a complete overclock for my system. I don't need to fuck with anything and it's stable as shit. Just plug and play. Interesting....but I don't see them. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007623%2050001315&IsNodeId=1&name=ASUS

New Rover looks way better than the last gen. Sales guy said it dropped 762lbs by going to an aluminum frame. Might go drive it although I'm doubtful it's improved enough and it'll be out of the price point.

Never driven a Sequoia and if they drive like an Escalade/Navigator I'm not interested. Did sit in one though and while not in love could maybe live with it if: Took this in a different color: http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?endYear=2011&zip=55391&listingType=certified&driveCodes=4WD%7CAWD&listingTypes=certified&sellerTypes=b&mmt=%5BTOYOTA%5BSEQUOIA%5B%5D%5D%5B%5D%5D&featureCodes=7&modelCode1=SEQUOIA&driveCode=4WD%7CAWD&sortBy=derivedpriceASC&showcaseOwnerId=0&makeCode1=TOYOTA&startYear=2009&searchRadius=0&listingId=341558683&Log=0 And then added a drop like this: And a little paint like this: Some winter tires on the stock rims and something better than the above on new ones. And most importantly the TRD Supercharger. 504hp and 550lbs Torque http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/toyota-tundra-trd-supercharged-first-drive-review which doesn't even void the warranty.

My dad's PC just shit. Budget choice for Motherboard/Proc/Memory/Videocard? Not sure what it is and figure it is over 3 years old so just replacing everything makes sense. *power supply is newer and more than fine for a non-gaming machine Used to surf internet, do taxes, and sometimes do slight modications to pictures.

If I do "lease it". I'll have to buy it and mod it before selling it back to the lease company. So it'll be done "before" I own it.

I didn't put up the Range since I drove one before buying the AMG. Didn't like it at all. There are about 50 I drive by everday. It's replaced the Volvo XC90 as the car in my extended neighborhood. Other caveat and problem with the second car. Until I move I get no toy purchases. Self inflicted, but going to stick with it. Afraid I'll overdo it as well. Figured an Saab with 600hp would be streetable daily. ROFL

Part of it is dumb as well. I listen to talk radio in the car, but I want to do another stereo install. I won't in ze German cars.

If any change occured it was superficial. There are tons of other options as well, that option will just be easy and works well for what you've told us so far.

Of those? Bimmer. Why not just get another of the same? I really think you will be unhappy with anything else. I didn't like the X6 when it first came out, but I also had different feelings about cars in general then. You will almost positively hate anything not benz bimmer or Porsche. Unless you spend shit loads of time on the interior, and engine and suspension. It isn't a bad route but it kind of goes against your time is money and overall value down the road general philosophy. If you do it because you want it.... then that is another story altogether. I can't get another AMG. New body style fucks the buy in price putting me WAY out of range. Same thing happened with the Porsche. I really don't like the interior or the way the X5M drives. The X6M I'd like, but the damn Russians keep buying all the used ones from here so they are still priced like hell. You highlighted my pain pretty good. Buying German is going to be tough which leaves the Jeep. I'm sure the Jeep will absolutely piss me off. Thought something custom may solve that. Other advantage of a custom build is at the end of it I can keep it for next to nothing. Then have the company lease me a car. I may also change jobs in the not super distant future for which it'd be nice to have a vehicle paid off. I tried to like the Escalade. Exterior is fine, interior is fine, but it drives like a fucking pickup. No amount of suspension mods will save it I don't think. If so, I even know of one that is already supercharged I could probably get cheap. Aargh.

I'd shy away from exotic cones as a first purchase. The extra tuning isn't worth the confusion it will add. Figuring out what tweeters fit and the overall budget will help the most. Don't assume on axis is a good idea for tweeters. Normally in a car they sound better off axis. If it is a full range mid then it NEEDS to be on axis because the off axis roll off is so extreme. An ultra generic recommendation that is hard to screw up would be some HDS tweeters mated with the Seas ER18s. Bang for the buck it will sound sweet. Potential to severely put a hurtin' on components that are well over $1k. Fits with your "soft" tweeter and paper cone although not exactly, but response wise it surely will.

nice sounding 6.5's for under $200

I personally despise the Focals. Shows you how personal front stage drivers are. The ID's are a joke as well IMO. Completely boneriffic recommendations that lead people that way for something that brings nothing extra to the table. Go listen to some with your ears and tell us why you liked what. Without that information all you'll get are subjective responses.

    Xcon VS Zcon 2 12"subs

Enclosure is always first. When two things fit in the enclosure you need to determine if the frequency response is what you are looking for. Generically speaking a more efficient driver will be louder when give the same power and a box that is ideally designed. Of course, being the enclosure is first you can taper that response based on how you choose to design your box. The Xcon is a great sub, rocks the piss out of my boat.

Dude says he only has $1k in his dash. If I could do that to the Saab or even a TBSS (which would require new seats too) then I am WAY more interested http://www.tbssowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=72928&highlight=seat&page=4

Benefit is that I could own it in the end, downside is I'd be sick of it like hell. I really want a car is my problem, but it flat out doesn't work for my lifestyle. Don't think I can handle buying a "cheap" truck as a second vehicle either.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Something like this (yeah already sold) http://www.tbssowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91227 would still allow me to add snow tires and some interior goodies and come in under $30k Of course, I don't fucking fit in the TBSS so that is sort of moot, but I do fit in the Saab which is fundamentally the same car with the old Olds interior and Saab badging.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Cars work could lease me: Has to be around $45k with the allowance of 15k mi/yr and still worth $25k in 36mo. Certified: BMW X6M BMW X5 5.0 2013 Jeep SRT8 I thought another option was to take a $15k Saab, spend $15k on mods. Have a $30k car that is worth $10k in the end for the same payment. At the end I'd then keep it for towing and such and lease a car. Any and all repairs, brakes, and other service items are mine to swallow during the 3 years. Those little things were somewhat painful on the Benz totaling over $100/mo in just disposables. Figured having it rolled in on a car I had built would alleviate that. Just hard stepping down into the interior from what I currently have. The exterior I am not nearly as concerned. Needs to be quick, handle reasonably well and tow at least 5k lbs. (My boat is 6800lbs in reality, but according to the manufacturer it is under 5k, lol). I am more concerned with towing a snowmobile trailer. Going to be getting a 22'er that is about 2600lbs + 3-4 600lb sleds. That number is super conservative being the dry weight of my sled is closer to 420lb
