    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Had Udon on Thursday....at the Detroit airport. Always looking for the least of all evils and considering I only had 10 minutes to buy and eat that took the sushi option away.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Udon is better fresh too. Fresh pasta isn't required, home made is. I dry my own sometimes and then use it for carbonara and the like. Comment above was more for me to even consider an Italian restaurant they should make their own pasta. Any ideas on good ones locally Matt? Bar La Grassa is booked tonight and Broders doesn't take reservations so 6 on a Saturday isn't my idea of fun.

If you we're down here yes. I despise chain Italian food. Agreed. I have yet to find ONE Italian food chain worth a damn. I've at least found one good Tex-Mex, American, or Chinese chain. So which are the "good" chains?

    Which 10" Subwoofer

I'm sure I will enjoy the GCON. I don't plan on upgrading my stereo since this is already an upgrade from my current 300w amp and 8" sub. I just want to make sure I get the most out of my amplifier that is already on its way to my front door along with my custom enclosure. I did look at the TC Sounds Epic but there wasn't any specs for recommended enclosures. I won't be playing my music at full volume or doing any SPL competitions. I will be using a DMM to set my amp gain levels. My concern is I am not making the best use of my amplifier. Best use? Even if you have your amp set at 750w you won't hear a difference to a 1000w so that isn't at all reasonable. I'd never set an amp with a DMM, in particular the one you have. Just make sure to use common sense and your ears.

nice sounding 6.5's for under $200

well in your opinion what are a good set of components for $450 or underMy opinion and your reality won't match. I haven't heard a set of components that do it for me and would run active. In particular if that were my budget.

    Midbass selection

TB in a very small box should be fine. WT-1427G is that the one you are referring to? If so that looks like the only 10" shallow that has specs that maybe suitable for midbass. Would you be concerned about it's low sensitivity when used in this install (small sealed) for this purpose? Mated with a 25w midrange that is only mid 80's as well?? No. The only way you'll gain output potential is to reduce how low it can play. Considering the near point source on top that'd be a shame to have to move the bass back to the sub IMO. Of course, the listening preference of Adrian's friend and mine may not coincide. So yes, more output can be had with a pair of 7's, but likely not as low and they'll over power the top end then. Changing the top to an array of 2's or 3's can solve this if high-ish output is really necessary.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Next week I am in town. For shits and giggles I am going to drive: 300 SRT8, M5, E63, CTS-V, Jaguar XFR and maybe something from the Bentley/Maserati dealer although they have Lambo's sitting in the window now so perhaps that'll win.

Ha, no thanks. While the transit is a Ford, it is hardly in reference to a passenger vehicle that was the preface of my response. Commercial vehicles may surely be different.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

I LOVE the BMW M6 seats. Currently my favorites. The AMG seats in the ML are pretty sweet as well. Generally speaking soft seats suck, but support is key. The Volvo XC60 also has great seats. GM's are the worst, by far. Amusingly I was in the seat design group yesterday and that is what they told me

only an 04', but its like new. i'll upload some pics in a bit hereI've seen plenty of those for $10k and it's always made me think about it. Haven't driven one since 04 though, but I remember them having the best GM seat ever produced at that time.
