Ability of door speakers to keep up with Woofers
///M5 replied to SpeakerBoy's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Midbass can't keep up, need WAY more cone area. Doesn't mean he cares though. -
Go back to passive and see if the problem persists. And then describe it in more detail, "in the background" "improve vocals" doesn't really tell us much.
-
Impossible without the information I asked. There are NO SUCH THINGS as generic settings that make ANY sense.
-
Better control sure, but your set will sound better passive than with your current settings. If you don't want to "improve" something then the control is worthless.
-
Short phrases are better than paragraphs. No need to worry about whether a set will take X power or not as you can turn down the gain. Really aren't sure what you are trying to do. You cite a set of components but then reference active. I would NEVER EVER buy components and then run them active. If you already owned something, ok, but purchasing new. No. Real question is why did you set your crossover and eq bands where you did. Until we understand this and what you don't like about it, we can't help.
-
Why do you keep posting 9887? It is meaningless to the thread without details of your needs. I am very familiar with that unit as are a ton of people on this site.
-
Neither are good for a 3 way active. Obviously there are work arounds, but IMO spending extra dough without stating WHAT you are trying to achieve and why isn't good money spent. For instance, if you had some anomaly that required independent L/R eq then yes an upgrade could make sense. That being said, the need for a change is always determined by your needs for change. Without knowing that it is impossible for us to give you any insight.

Neither will allow you to have rears. Neither will help over the other in competition.

Yay, chains!

Keep up? No way. Satisfy your buddy, most likely. -
Or perhaps your perception of "should be" isn't right. Can test that by turning down the gain and repeating what causes it now.
-
JPG's get compressed when you save them.
-
The time to redo it all though is priceless
-
That includes only about 100mb of video. Only video I save is what someone I know shoots. Non-critical backups of the kids ripped vids happens by default since they are on memory sticks. Everything is off originals in that regard though so replaceable.

No use for add on cards. Unless you were doing some kind of server function. My server blade is old as Fuck and didn't need a raid card either to serve. My last gaming PC had a built in CPU just for raid controlling. It was amazing. Mirrors are fine. Just not redundant as numbers might let on. It matters way less in a home than in a business aspect. I use a backup machine because it is easier, cheeper and I can access my data from anywhere without working the BEAST. Yea, i just hate it when someone assumes that using mirror raid means that's the option the owner chose for redundancy.. We all know that's not true redundancy, just in the heart of the moment so to speak. I gave up on discs long time ago. Only redundancy discs i'd ever use(which i have used several) are 75year guarantee Gold Layered DVDs. Verbatim and Mitsui i know make them. I do not know who else. They aren't too bad. Last time i purchased some, it was a 50pack of 4.7gb for about $65. But online hosting is where it's at. We all be doomed if a hosting site lost it's entire RAID systems! Epic fail would have a whole new meaning. Not interested in online anything. No fucking way. I also need a solid 2tb just for data. That's been trimmed down a bunch to and growing rapidly.

Aargh! Just fucking replaced the damn rollers and tensioner in the dryer, ran a load of laundry and left something in the fuckng sink so the whole shit pumped water all over the bathroom floor and down into my basement where I just finished sheet rocking!
-
FUck I am a 44/34 and that is even bad.
-
I back up my dad's pc the same way I back up mine. He gets a copy of all my backups about every 6 mo and vice versa. It's offsite and double redundant. That is smart. For some reason mirrors fail in unison more frequently than the statistical math would prove. Maybe it is like old married people. They see their parter go down.... And they just give up too. It's easy to know when to run the sync too. Everytime I download pictures, rip new music, do my taxes etc. Have the backup HDD on a relay that my alarm can fire so when not being used it is off and cannot be written to.
-
It is formally casual. Or casually formal.... Anyway, it is a great thing if you honestly 100% feel a tie is not appropriate.Unless you are going to wear a tie for the job having a jacket and a tie at the interview is more than necessary. Whatever you wear though should fit great, be pressed nice, and be tight looking.

I use an external hdd and Allways Sync. Let's me work on the same files on multiple PC's and still have the most recent version backed up. Ultra easy.

From a quick search I don't think the backup will care as the striping is done automatically no matter what is written. Balancing not as future proof with more speed. Basically get nearly double the performance from the drives when striped with the only negative being two to fail and of course later you couldn't add another larger drive to do the same with bigger.
-
*assumes the bios will do the striping such that Macrium or whatever I use will allow me to clone from a non-raid to a raid.
-
Hmm, striped array of two smaller SSD's or a single that is slightly larger
