FI Q 12 or PSI Platform 2 whats higher sound quality for punch
///M5 replied to shilling.james's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
Indeed first step is to fix the fronts. Bass is easy -
I stretch them all ultrawide.

I do testing for a living. NONE of my customers would EVER accept what was done here. Just do the exercise, it'll wake you up. Until you do you can say you understand, but you don't.

Sounds pretty perfect. Do you use the 11-16 much?Shot a good portion of Scandinavia with it.
-
Boo, CD's from Amazon arrived and one of them looks fuxored.

Most of my pictures are shot below 70mm which means the 17-55 would be an ideal "most of the time lens". I'd sell my 18-270 and then get a 70-200 of some type to mate with it. Would leave me with: 11-16 2.8, 17-55 2.8 IS, 50 1.4, 70-200 ?? Add a teleconverter and BAM!

The STM motor is silent Sean. I mean SILENT. NO NOISE. It makes the USM on the 50 sound like a jet enjine. For video it can't be beat despite the high F. I will see if I can scratch up some video for you. And my concern is that next year Canon updates the now 7 yr old 17-55 with an STM...they have one now I think. Mine is 17-135 I think. Unless you are thinking a better and lower F version of the STM, then who knows. Yours doesn't use L glass elements and have a constant 2.8 throughout the range though. Might make more sense to buy the Sigma 17-50 now and update if that happens later.

Nope, can't see who did...or at least I can't figure it out. Tried looking all over, editing and all sorts of thigns. No cigar

Hmm, news to me. *goes to search*

Lots of low ceilings and WTF is with the laminate counter tops? So much for downsizing. Ha, right. There is actually a 2200sq ft guest house on the back side of the garage. It would give me instant babysitters as I could get my parents to move in there. If it weren't for that and the huge potential to make $$ by fixing the houses layout I'd prefer to downsize. In that house though we'd end up with an 1800sq ft Master suite & office with HUGE lake views. The kitchen and great room would be of similar size and the basement walkout/party room to the lake as well. Add the MIL suite and we could live there for a while. From the picture the 'bar' at least needs no work. J The bar will become the Master Bedroom if we buy that house. Bye bye bar.

REALLY contemplating grabbing a 17-55 Canon or the 17-50 Sigma. Mostly curious on how much the autofocus noise affects video.

Wed - my lunch is pretty open, could squeak out for an hour or two. Thur - I have a noon meeting with General Motors I cannot miss, but it should be done by 1:30. Short on time a bit this week as next week I travel and the following the boss stays here at the house. Getting things in order so that when 6 colleagues tromp through the doors for our meetings it looks good here

Shoot anything worth sharing?

What days are you off? Not sure I can squeak out for "drinks" but lunch for sure. Glad you can flatter yourself.

Lord, read my comments. I didn't say to do a different test, I didn't offer to do a test as I have no interest in it since chasing 10's of watts is insignificant. What I said was that it is bullshit to post ANY test results without citing the uncertainty and using inappropriate digits. To give you a context example, let's say you are measuring my height with a standard tape measure. Would you then report that I am 6'7.12958928398198349"? Pretty dumb right? Obviously getting a tape measure beyond 1/32" of an inch isn't possible and if I needed better than that or wanted to report better than that I'd use a different mechanism. A much better way of stating this would be 6'7" +/- 1/16" Point is that any test can be posted in a valid way. In this case obviously whomever did the test has no scientific understanding or were lazy in their results. Then the OP pasted the prose onto the site. Yes I made the point clamp tests were stupid and the fun part is that if you actually figured out the uncertainty and posted then you wouldn't even be discussing this with me as you'd all realize that as well. It is really rather simple.

Stupid good price. WTF?? It is a WAYS out of town and needs to be gutted. Liveable clean, but holy hell is the inside a mess. There are something like 8 living rooms in it. No master, the kitchen sucks, and some seriously dated stuff.
-
You serious? Well the interior needs to be gutted pretty completely and I am not sure I want that much work. It's fucking huge.

Thinking about buying the white house http://www.edinarealty.com/homes-for-sale/MN/Minnetrista/55364/3860-County-Road-44-90369911

Hate offering that as advice for others though. My motivation doesn't quite follow the norm.
-
If I were qualified only for an entry level arena for work in fact it is exactly what I'd do. Pick one of my hobbies and get fucking serious about it and sell for $.

Guarantee that is the next revolution. Art & Science will be put back into the work force. People who are crafty enough to do things in their hands will become more prevalent. Seeing it in the food industry (THANK FUCKING GOD) and I am sure that others will follow. Going to unchinese the American worker.

Outside of tradeswork, there are really no more American products.
-
Not just the margin but the accessibility of parts, and cost to being them in. Add in building costs for factories, and the costs associated with running said factory in comparison and that shrinks the profit margin even more. I am just saying that for me, I am willing to spend some more hard earned money on an American product, as long as I know that it is well made, and it fits my needs or wants. J J, there are none. American products are 90% if not more filled with things from other countries. What you should buy is the best product for your needs for the money you have. Companies then need to react to this. If they don't, they don't deserve to survive. Natural selection will always exist in the business world. IMO the things worth paying for our the ones that don't take advantage labor wise of developing countries. Not saying I am against cheap labor. I sure the fuck don't want to do it.
