So I setup a test drive on an 08 CTT and the fuckers sold it 15 minutes before I got there. Was going to compare with a 2012 S which they sold too. WTF, am I Ryan?

If you are having a hard time keep a log of everything you eat and post it here daily. I guarantee even if we don't comment it'll fix your problem.

It has a switched and unswitched port but that is on the pre amp itself, which is what I need to control. How do you do an ac relay. Is it pretty cheap?$20 IIRC. Not exactly sure though as it was years ago when I bought mine. Some take a bit of voltage on the front end to flip the relay. I think mine are running at 12v. I can open a box and see, but if you aren't going to pursue it I am not breaking her open. It took a while to find the damn relay.

That's some ghetto shit yo. Yep, but for the initial tuning I'll use a real monitor, it'll just be for updating shit when in the car. Not so concerned. I suppose I could also just pull into my garage and Teamviewer into the beast and use my laptop. That is the backup and perhaps primary method, lol

Or use the el cheapo method and have a switch to convert from VGA to composite and go in the rear camera port. Won't be good resolution, but enough. USB port in the car for a keyboard and call it a day. *sits in car in reverse with the e-brake on to tune, rofl.

Depends on what you mean by for the boat. If water penetration is your goal, dealing with glare, or just having enjoyable colors while boating. If it is the latter then you know my answer as you wore mine! Why I asked you by name. I forgot to write down the name of what you purchased....... HCL Bronze. Once you wear them you won't like the Grey anymore.
-
Green aviators: Interesting...
-
Green supposedly can penetrate our water the best.
-
Even on bright winter days with NO clouds the Bronze take all the glare pain away. Sure Grey would reduce the light further, but you lose contrast which is critical in winter. In a perfect world of course I'd have about 10 pairs, but personally I choose to own only 2 and both are Bronze. One small wire rimmed for traveling and driving and a big ass pair to wear when subjected to a shit ton of son. Coverage of the face is more important than lens cover when the sun is intense. Obviously a good lens is paramount, but if there is shit leaking in from everywhere it is worse than having too light of a lens. The Bronze also makes everything look better and not more dull like the grey. Without serious sun the grey is way overkill IMO
-
If you don't remember, Bronze. The rest aren't necessary.

The Edge is the worst Ford too. Should be replaced pretty soon

Ford wanted 8 grand less for the exploder sport. Yuk. I really don't know how they sell cars. WIth my discount, I can buy new. People who don't get what I get, why on Earth do they buy? I priced a Mustang 2 years ago. $39K after all was said and done. $39K! For a Mustang! Granted, I LOVE Mustangs, but it's a MUSTANG. Why would I pay that for that? And the Shelby? Seriously? $70K? And people buy them?????!!!!!That is what I was thinking....aside from being not fast, the explorer sport is the best SUV I have been in when you include the sync system etc etc. It handles really well for an SUV too. I tried to get it to break traction and couldn't. On my test drive. Wuss, I got it to break traction.

bass reconstruction processor?
///M5 replied to Briggiboy33's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
As I said - different music. Also didn't say can't be done, but it is confusing to me why it is desirable to add bass to naturally bassless music. Unlike yourself I highlighted where this proc "could" be used while at the same time adding the confusion to it's purpose. People buy shit because they are confused all the time, don't want the OP to do that. Blind A/B there is NO WAY you can hear 256 to 320. I bet you can even tell a 192. Of course you will have to truly listen blind to find out. As for the stage in sub, only people who are completely confused or can't figure shit out use it. Copying someone who is confused says something about the person doing the copying now doesn't it? And yeah, you knew I'd post something about your post but not because of you because of the content. Keep fishin -
ROFL. Just noticed enjoy none's location.

Techflex - How to use to protect, color code, and add a unique look to
///M5 replied to mklett33's topic in Technical Info & How To's
I have an old kitchen knife and a propane torch. Cuts the flex nice and clean as well. One step further that even makes things nicer and easier is to build your own RCA's at the same time. That way the techflex is size appropriately not for the connectors but the wire. Also makes termination nicer since everything is cut to proper length. Really cleans up an install. -
I don't know who Bale is, nor have I heard of any of those movies (except maybe Batman begins...but not sure) but that is ridiculous.

I would have questions when I do my car PC.I am not doing a carPC as the Nav systems for cars blow goats. This will be Android based.Really curious how you are making it work. Particularly the volume overlay. Is this piggybacking off another system? Would you use the Android tablet as a front end then run the audio directly into a PC?Pretend the PC doesn't exist. The PC for me will only be so I can run 3 way active, ie a more flexible replacement for a miniDSP. Found a PC for basically the same price as the mini so why not I don't have it all figured out. I need a different tablet as the Tab 2 will not allow the use of a USB hub and that is a pre-requisite as the steering wheel controls, FM Antenna, Hard drive, backup camera and other peripherals will be USB. how will the pc be powered and so forth? do you have to power down the pc manually before shutting the car off? also, mini dsp's had a price cut recently. at least the 2x4 models i believe. Since I have to add a Keyless go my plan was to add a trigger to start the PC when the car unlocks. Ought to give it enough of a headstart to come to life by the time I hit the go button. PC is more flexible than the miniDSP.

A few years back I kept getting the 4 door as a rental. Beat the shit out of them, but just don't get it. Not comfy either.

bass reconstruction processor?
///M5 replied to Briggiboy33's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Only if he has a DAT. Umm, no. Better recordings or different music. No such thing as stage when it comes to subs either...unless of course you have them in a stereo pair up front. Those processors aren't meant to restore bass or reconstruct bass, they are meant to add bass where it doesn't exist. Confusing to me why you'd want bassless music with bass. And OP, why even add an EQ or replace your HU? "Clean up" is not something an EQ can do. If you have an anomaly to tame or pull down then perhaps. Most people fall into the more adjustments is better and end up with worse sound. -
Of course it has been a few years, they could have improved them
-
Posted spec and reality don't match anywhere near in it either.

That car is the definition of meh to me. Not fast, not fun, not sporty....oh wait, it's Japanese.

i don't know as I'd want a manual in an E46, not quick enough to need the SMG. My guess is yes though since I know they had learning pains.
