Other people can answer this better than I, but you'd probably be surprised how much $$$ they are spending on research to get these things to pass the emissions. There lies the problem. The emissions were better before the aggressive and shit EGR systems. And thus better before DEF. So you plan to reduce emissions by forcing everyone to add another tank, pump, hose, chamber in the exhaust, and fluid to add to the vehicle. Well how the fuck did you get the DEF to the trucks? In a package that had a carbon footprint and a truck hauled that DEF so there is more carbon footprints. You cannot tell me that the DEF system reduces more bad stuff than the process of making it, the systems in the truck that squirt it, and the transportation of the fluid itself and it's containers. Not sure we understand your question. As for the enclosure volume, what about the WinISD plots is confusing? Beware if anyone answers on SMD as the last I looked no one who understands jack ever posts there. You are confusing to help. You cite frequencies that are not near reality, built a box that has a rather reasonable frequency response in car but claim otherwise, and ask loaded questions with essay like answers instead of defining what about what you have isn't working for you. It makes it very hard to help you. It is obvious to me you've been reading on lots of forums and are rightfully confused as you haven't understood that much of the info you have read is wrong. Then when you don't paint the full picture but instead fill in details that this info has taught you to share makes us all wonder what you are asking. -
$2k isn't a small budget, you can do a ton with that. I've had a bunch of SHO's, including one that was doctored a shit ton. Super fun cars.

Am I way off?i don't understand where you got that idea from. how did you go about determining the other enclosure specs?I figured that you use the recommended enclosure size from what the manufacturer gives, and then you tune the box with the fs depending on whether it is higher or lower.NO. One single specification tells you NOTHING about a driver. There is a reason that Thiele & Small have a list of parameters. They ALL need to be accounted for to design a reasonable box. As for following the manufacturers recommendations that is generally the best idea if you don't intrinsically understand ALL of the parameters. Just don't go changing the tuning though either-follow the recommendations completely.

You are ignoring the transfer function of your car, ie cabin gain. In situ measurements are required to understand that. Did you follow the manufacturers recommendation at all when you built your box? -

You don't want pro audio but instead are choosing to do something that will sound worse? DO NOT read that as you can copy some asshat from FL's car with some shitty as PA drivers and craptastic crossovers and sound good...but at the same time, you can't really make 4 drivers playing the same frequency range sound good in a car either. Enough, probably, just happened to be on the wrong things.You have to understand, no one here is trying to be condescending. You just happened to have made a decision that would have been better served another way. The real question is how bad do you truly want to fix it. If not pretty bad, then you are probably better off carrying on with your original plan.

Eq's only make things worse unless you know what you need to fix with them. Once you know that it is easy to shop for one as well as you will know what you need. -

If you reboost you will be overdriving. Going to need a serious proc that will get younin way over your head if you try to implement what you have. Just focus on fixing your box and then use your ears.
