How much of a "track" car can she really handle?

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Or for 100k buy a dedicated older track car and a slightly used DD. Your bosses priorities are very strange. "HEY, I lOVE to compromise"

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Problem again is new. FUCKING STUPID. In particular for a 6 digit car. They all fall like fucking rocks. A very mildly used Gallardo is under 100k.

I know how it works. And it doesn't. Pre-Obama it did. Alone in his nonsense over the past 3 years I have lost almost $35k worth of income.

Probably late, but if you make $100 that is taxable and put in $5 to HSA then only $95 is taxable. I assume you very well know this.... Are you trolling us? lol Not if your tax liability remains the same. Bracketing is stupid.
  6. And somewhat worthless. The LP stuff is about as overpriced as you can get. Significantly worse util/$ than JL for instance.

What a small pecker he must have to go through all that BS to be an ass. I almost feel sorry for him.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

My Brother was the CFO for Fair Isaac, my BIL a partner in an accounting firm. I use software, but they double check/fix/recommend for me. Both WAY more detail oriented and I and utilizing HSA's.

You would only pay 39.90 to taxes though after the 5$ HSA contribution. Unless I'm missing something. That is my understanding, and even if he still paid the full tax amount, having the money in the HSA is really helpful for long term planning. My guess is there is a nuance I'm missing. If not, then Sean can save even more by switching. Either way we learn stuff. The more you know.... Sure I lose the future tax benefit on gains, but you also lose the freedom and utility of the money.

You would only pay 39.90 to taxes though after the 5$ HSA contribution. Unless I'm missing something. That is what I thought too, but not how it calculated out. Was still $42.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Thanks to fuckwad the calculation now only allows so much in deductions. Made no difference in tax paid when I had my taxes done both ways.
  17. There'd be a ton wrong if it had a wall.

Your mtg you can right? At least a portion. Ha, only a little bit of it. Basically they tell me to fuck off. Which is absurd. Don't get me wrong, I should pay more taxes than most people. A LOT more. That being said I should still be motivated to do the things that stimulate the economy and they won't let me. You DO pay more, as do I... and I am not in your tax bracket. Why should we pay, when losers get paid? EIC is fuckin bullshit, as are the entitlements we pay into. Why should we pay 20-40% of our income so someone making $30K can get $7K back in returns, and another $15K in foodstamps and medicaid? Then consider our investments? We take risks that may produce jobs and residences for people to better their lives. These risks obviously can become lost currency on our parts. But are our risks rewarded? No. If we lose, we lose, but if we won our already taxed income becomes taxed again at an exorbitant rate. Why should I work hard and invest if my rewards are taken away and given to some loser with no work ethic and a bunch of kids? Umm, you read my post a bit wrong. Was sort of saying it is a pleasure to pay taxes. WHEN they make sense. Currently they don't make any fucking sense. I should pay more than a lot of people, but what I pay now for how it helps others or myself is absolute horseshit. I am seriously opposed to big government. Defense & infrastructure aside there almost is no purpose in government.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

For instance, if you make $100/yr but pay $42/yr in taxes would you put $5 in an HSA to still pay $42/yr in taxes?
  20. If you've never had a car having one with suspect suspension, brakes, acceleration, visibility and a rompin' fuckin' stereo isn't really the best idea. Adding at least visibility to the list is a minimum although I'd prefer to see all of the above improved.

The deductions I gain would go towards something that would yield nothing that isn't eaten by the AMT. Basically unless it drops me to a level it won't it doesn't change the taxes paid so therefore it needs to do something else positive.
